Just read D3 Wrestling will be at Lakota. Will they have enough seating? Motels will be travel back to Fremont, BG or Fostoria.
Defiance turned it down for Basketball. Then they went to Fostoria and they turned it down. Good They wouldn't ask Waite if they could come back do to leaving and going to Defiance last year. Nobody wants D3, Why?
Can Lakota handle Seating?

There money in it. The District Board has to rent Lakota and Ill bet its at least $2,000.00. Plus they pay Manger, scorekeepers, Ticket takers and Lakota gets all the concessions, which I'll bet will be 3-4 thousand. A few years ago they rented BG Stroh's Center and I heard it was for $5,000.00.

Lakota has PLENTY of seating.
The amount is more than you list. Your estimates are pretty low.
Its a win for Lakota

I rather see a High School host and make some money on the sport of wrestling than say BG who doesn't even have wrestling.

They also have to feed the refs and workers. Oh. by the way it takes more than a scorekeeper to staff each mat. Even if you don't pay them you still need to find volunteers. A D3 tourny where most schools won't even field close to a full team is no cash cow.

It pays more than the SBC conference I'm sure. Which Lakota is hosting for second straight year.

I think the District board pays table workers for each session. The problem is lakota from what I hear only has 8 wrestlers and they may have to hire other schools to work tables as BG did.

From the sounds of it, they have a developing youth program and one of the better JH teams around this year (for the size of school). Lakota will also be the likely host of the SBC tourney for the foreseeable future. Lakota will be just fine.

Lakota beautiful facilty in the middle of nowhere. league tourney there also. what a poor choice. no dining options no where to go on breAKS. ect ect there are no more breaks in district wrestling like there used to be. coaches, fans and wrestlers don't wanna be there any longer than needed. There was an hour break at D2 last year between the last round. No one really leaves anymore.
