Already being reported that he is out Pardon me, but I think that's bullsh*t. He earned this position.

Williams isn’t a Dorsey guy. With that being said Dorsey in his press conference this morning said that Williams will get an interview. He also said Kitchens will as well

Yeah, I know he isn't Dorsey guy, but Williams earned this position, Steve Fisher-style.

Yeah, I know he isn't Dorsey guy, but Williams earned this position, Steve Fisher-style. I didn’t realize the Browns won the title. Bottom line you have to decide if Williams has what it takes to lead a team to a Super Bowl. I would vote no on that question

No title, but as Interim Coach, I thought he passed the test to be promoted.

PLEASE....Not another head coach. Not another defensive system for players to learn. Not another offensive system for players to learn. THE #1 goal must be to find an O-coordinator that meshes with Baker Mayfield. If one thing is abundantly clear, Kitchens is that guy.

Apparently Peyton Manning and Haslam are good friends and Manning is strongly suggesting that recently fired Miami HC Adam Gase should be the Browns next HC, as they are close. Dorsey should be worried, as Haslam would like to have Peyton Manning in his front office.

In 2008 Tommy Bowden resigned mid-way through the season from Clemson. Dabo Swinney was named interim Head Coach. Dabo had never been a Head Coach before, the rest is history. Clemson went from blah to a Top 2 Program in the Nation.
Gregg Williams earned that Head Coaching job with the way he coached in the final 8 games.

Marty Schottenheimer was an interim for Browns then took over Marv Levy was an interim with Bills then took over Jeff Fisher was an interim for Oilers then took over Schottenheimer was a regular season coach. Never won anything more than a division title. Marv Levy will be known for the guy that lost 4 straight Super Bowls. And my god, Jeff Fisher? Mr 8-8. Thanks for proving my point

All he did was prove that Hugh Jackson was clueless, which everyone knew but the Haslims. If they decide to make him head coach great. If they don’t that’s great too. I have confidence in Dorsey

The Marty years are the only years the Browns have been relative in the last 50 years. Thank you interim Marty The Levy years are the only years the Bills have been relative in the last 50 years. Jeff Fisher was literally [__________] that close to winning Super Bowl 34
Yep, you got me hoss, all interim coaches blow if you hand the reigns over too them.

Jeff Fisher was literally [__________] that close to winning Super Bowl 34 So are you assuming that Tennessee would have won in overtime, or that they would have gone for 2 and converted?

Gregg Williams has had zero interviews for head coach positions other than the Browns. I think that explains the feelings towards him throughout the league

Chris Mortenson- Freddy Kitchens is new Browns head coach. Greg Williams not retained.

Several teams wanted to interview Kitchens for open Head Coaching positions, the Browns would not let them.
Kitchens has never been a head coach at any level.
Will Kitchens call the offensive plays or be a CEO....again, he's never been a head coach before.

Williams and Bob Wylie gone. Would have liked to keep both. I like the aggressiveness that the defense played with under Williams, yeah they had their faults, but I like a coach that encourages the defense with playcallinf to pin their ears back.
Hope we get someone just as aggressive
I like the Kitchens hire, but I think I would like it more if he continues calling plays

I don't mind the Kitchens hire but admit I wanted Dan Campbell of the Saints. He could of kept Kitchens as he OC. But as my son pointed out to me you'd have Kitchens only a year because he'd be a HC someplace next year. I guess the Browns didn't want to lose the relationship he's building with Mayfield. I'm slightly concerned on what kind of staff can he build. I know he's been around the league for a while but does he have the respect and connections to build a good staff. I will enjoy watching it and reading up on the coaches he brings on board.

I think watching Hugh Jackson the past 2.5 years has clouded your judgement on what a capable HC can do.

when you have a guy who meshes with Baker like Freddie did you keep that man around
also, look at the other name that was rumored to be a finalist, Kevin Stefanski, he had less experience than Freddie
Kingsbury, LaFleur, Kitchens, lots of guys with questionable experience but hey, hard to question how the offense performed with Freddie in charge, and he can still call plays as a HC...lots of guys do. Just hire a solid DC to run that side of the ball and forget about it.

it was also reported by the FAN yesterday that Kitchens was not Williams first choice to be OC when he took over as interim
