After tonight most teams will be nearing the half way point or over it. Wanted to get some thoughts on this district. Its going to be a very tough and rugged road for who ever makes it out.
Buckeye Central, Colonel Crawford, Crestline, Lucas, Mansfield Christian, Margaretta, Monroeville, Plymouth, South Central, St. Mary’s Central Catholic, St. Paul, St. Peter’s
The top 6-8 teams have a real chance to make a run and get to the finals

Feels like South Central and Margaretta are the two best teams. That being said I wouldn’t be surprised if Crawford or St Mary won it

I agree with Big Hoss. I think it will be South Central vs. Margaretta for the district title. I'd throw St Paul in there with the Crawford and St. Mary conversation about not being surprised if they are there. I think St. Paul may actually be a little better than St. Mary. They play each other, I believe what will be the night before the draw.

Without a doubt Margaretta is the best team in this district. Colonel Crawford would be my second even though they have some losses, they will turn it around in the second half of the season. And if South central is gonna be in the top of this district then I think you should have to put St. Paul up there with them.

10-2 Sandusky St. Mary’s 9-2 Margaretta 9-3 South Central 9-3 Col. Crawford 7-3 Lucas 7-4 Norwalk St paul 7-5 Mansfield St. Pete’s 6-6 Plymouth 5-7 Monroeville 3-8 Crestline 1-10 Buckeye Central 1-11 Mansfield Christian A very solid district this is with 8 of the 12 teams with a .500 record or better at the halfway mark. Whoever is crowned district champ will have earned it for sure. At the halfway point i would give margaretta a slight edge over cc and south central as my favorites to win however st mary’s,lucas, and st paul will all have a chance to come out on top. Should be some great games at willard come march between the 4 teams that survive to get there. Im gonna go with margaretta,cc,south central, and lucas as my darkhorse with cc meeting margaretta in the final.

Even though St. Mary’s has the best record in this district, I feel like they aren’t even one of the top 3 best teams in this list. They have tougher schedule 2nd half of the season. It will tell how good they really are

My pick would be Crawford vs South Central in District Final. I think Margaretta NSP & SMCC could be in the run as well for final 4.

They beat St. Paul by 4 with one of their players scoring 25 who usually doesn’t score more than 10. Snd St. Paul lost by 23 to Margaretta. So I don’t think I would put South Central over Margaretta right now.

Hear you about Margaretta. All I have to go by is seeing them vs Wynford. Almost lost. And Wynford was without their big who was hurt. Wynford was not very good at all early in season. Margaretta could have lost that game very easily.

I do agree with you there. Wynford not good at all early in the season. But they are playing now like they did against Margaretta. By Having a close game against Willard and upper. Not to mention St. Paul did not have a good game and Margaretta had a really good one.

(Wynford) only lost to Crawford by 5. Impressive for them. And proceeded to lose at Carey by 27 and at home v Mohawk by 25 in its next two games. Whereas CC only def. Seneca East by 3 in its next game. CC is an enigma. Apparently Wynford is the greatest 2 win team in history Through 12 games
First 6 games: 1-5. 55.2 ppg scored. 57.5 ppg allowed. -2.3 ppg difference. Last 6 games: 1-5. 53.5 ppg scored. 68.7 ppg allowed. -15.2 ppg difference. Of its 54.4 ppg this season, Crall is averaging 24.8 ppg.

That's a great point. He takes the majority of his team's shots, rightfully so. Not many options for Wynford. To go along with that I'm sure he is playing the entire game due to being behind where as some players on some teams are sitting those minutes due to the score. Crall is a good player, but #'s can be inflated due to the above mentioned.

Crall is a great young man. He is a very good small high school scorer. Tough kid. Works hard and coachable. Unfortunately he is going to have to be a #2 Guard at the next level (D3) as he does not have college level PG skills and he will find that scoring will be much much tougher as he is only 6’0. He really needs to learn to be a true PG and here at Wynford he needs to be the scorer and take the majority of the shots for Wynford to even think about winning.

I was only asking about his stats. Never heard a bad word about his character. When someone points out a single player scoring 45% of a poor team's points, I wonder is he taking all their shots or shooting a good percentage.

2 Weeks away from the draw and finding out how this all pans out. Still alot of possible moving with all of the teams.

The Sectionals are at Shelby and Galion, If things stay the same St. Mary's will probably get the one seed and will choose to go to Shelby, If Margaretta can get some keys wins the might get the top seeds but I think they will get the #2 seed because of their strength of schedule

St Marys has two tough games this week. I could see CC getting the 1 with SC/ Margaretta in the mix for 2/3 and St Marys the 4 with Lucas trying to squeeze in there also. Alot to be sorted out still

13-3 Sandusky St. Mary’s (Gibsonburg, St Paul)
13-3 South Central ( New London, Crestview, Edison)
13-3 Col. Crawford (Bucyrus, Ridgedale)
12-4 Margaretta (Old Fort, Oak Harbor, Vermillion)
11-4 Lucas (Northmor, St Pete, Fredricktown)
12-5 Norwalk St Paul (Western Reserve, Sandusky CC)
11-6 Mansfield St. Pete’s (Lucas, Marion Harding)
8-9 Plymouth (Monroeville, Hillsdale)
7-10 Monroeville (Buckeye Central, Plymouth)
5-11 Crestline (Wynford, Mansfield Christian, Vanlue)
4-15 Mansfield Christian(Crestline, Ontario)
2-13 Buckeye Central ( Monroeville, Ridgedale, Carey)
Final week before the Draw on Sunday. Couple games this week that could decide seedings and where everyone is placed. Big one I see is St Paul vs St Marys on Sat the night before. Margaretta has a tough week. St Pete vs Lucas this week, Plymouth vs Monroeville, and Crestline vs Mansfield Christian could all determine where they are seeded.

I know St. Marys has the best record in this district. But I feel like they don’t deserve the 1 seed.

I know St. Marys has the best record in this district. But I feel like they don’t deserve the 1 seed. 3 teams at 13-3 right now. SC has 3 games this week so they could be 16-3 going in, CC could be 15-3. St marys could be 15-3 as well that saturday matchup with St Paul will be big for seeding

I said elsewhere, across the pond, that I'll take Margaretta. That said, they've never won a District title in Boys basketball since 1971 when the OHSAA went from 2 classes to 3.
