Lose to a D3 and drop three spots. For the dozen or so Norwalk fans that made a big stink on the Willard thread about Willard's schedule
Norwalk plays 19 schools smaller than them, is 18-3 and just last week got hammered, ranked in d2 Willard plays 6 schools smaller than them, is 17-3 and on a 12 game winning streak, unranked in d3 cool, I guess the local Norwalk reporter has a vote in the AP poll?
Oh, and the whole District jumped to be on Norwalk's side of the bracket to avoid Mansfield Sr (why wasn't Senior ranked?) Maybe Senior should have played 19 schools smaller than them like Norwalk. Oh that's right, Senior didn't make a schedule to get ranked #14 in D2, Senior made a schedule to take the District Championship Trophy home. Norwalk better win the District or.....eek.... 19 schools smaller than them on the schedule...OUCH....raging on Willard's schedule when they forgot to look at their own.... eek....Hopefully that overtime win vs South Central pays off for Norwalk in March....Yikes...Since Norwalk fans love to talk about others schedules
A dozen Norwalk fans? I personally don't care who Willard plays, but don't dumb-down the schedule and then puff your chest when you win games. Norwalk football did something similar a number of years ago under MacFarland. We dropped Huron and a few others, and started playing awful smaller schools, just to get some wins. My advice is to worry about your own team and not Norwalk.

I thought this was already put to bed. It doesn't matter how big or small the school. What matters is playing teams that traditionally have a strong basketball program. Congrats on your good record playing traditionally sub par programs.

I spit out a little coffee from someone calling Bucyrus "sub par". Willard's schedule changes had nothing to do with enrollment size. They kept Columbian on the schedule.

You might want to check those brackets again. Looks like the #5 and #6 seeds went over to Mansfield Senior's side.

I make one innocent comment about Norwalk being ranked, and this puppy blows up. I'm starting to look like an instigator.

Open mouth insert foot. EVERY TIME the AP Poll has been mentioned in the past on here, the majority opinion has always been, "It's worthless". I learned my lesson, never mentioning it again. Maybe you will learn your lesson some day.

I make one innocent comment about Norwalk being ranked, and this puppy blows up. I'm starting to look like an instigator. Not at all. The poll is nice recognition but on the court it means very little if anything at all. For example take the 2013-14 season when Ontario was the state ranked #1 team in the final AP Poll for division 2. They were beat by the sectional's #3 seed in their first game of tournament. This was back when each sectional was seeded. In today's system that team may have been the 5th or 6th seed.

Harbinger of things to come??? Senior at Ontario tonight in a makeup of Jan 22 game. Can Ontario keep the ball rolling on their win streak?? Will Senior have a let down after Lex victory??

Looking at the latest AP Poll I see that Norwalk is ranked 11th in D2 and South Central is 11th in D4. Dude cares what the AP Poll says.

And, that night, they had illness/injury issues that enabled the Truckers to blow it open at the end.

After seeing Norwalk that night I knew they had a good chance of winning AT Lex. It worked out as I thought. Lex did not have an answer for Harraway. They still have the injuries. Balogh has challenged them to win with what they have. Got them to cut down on their turnovers and their 3 guards are shooting well behind the 3-point line. Senior presents different problems than that of Lex and Norwalk.

^^^You may be right, especially if you consider a 35 foot bank shot he made, may be the difference in the game at the half time buzzer,

If not for the other 19, Lex might have won. In the 7-8 seconds at the end I thought Lex would get a better shot. Give Gray's defensive plan and his player's execution the credit. That couldn't have hurt as bad as the half court, no look, hook shot that went in as the buzzer sounded, in the District finals against Wynford.

I remember it being about 25 but it was still a bank. After watching him for 4 year he did shoot the 3 ball much better than I had seen before that night. The kid is a legit college basketball player, nobody was surprised he had a good night. The point that was the difference was the last whistle blown that put him on the line to break the tie. That was a gift.

Wait Willard dad is at it again talking about Norwalks schedule is so weak... When they start dropping traditional games Lex, Ontario, Ashland etc... for Oregon Clay, Fremont or other poor programs regardless of size then I’ll agree. However then it sounded like you believe I n someway it was due Norwalks schedule that is was ranked ?? Could it have to do with Norwalk beating a good D1 Ashland team on the road as well as perennial D2 power Lex also on the road or a quality D3 program in NW, and not ducking a new recruiting machine like Stritch to prepare you. As for Willard not being ranked could that be because they played and beat one good D2 team in Vermilion and got trounced by a decent D3 opponent in Upper... Bottom line is in order to be ranked (which I agree means little) you need to play and beat good teams plural... Good luck to Willard they should roll the District time will tell

Then WD goes on to belittle a WIN by Norwalk over one of the best D4 schools in the area😵 They could have split with a lower seeded D4 team like Margaretta like another area team did 😉

Portwalk, truthfully, I'd rather play Ross than South Central. Of course, much of it is due to selfish reasons, ha!
