If that 2:20.6 is the record I see Shelby’s Makenna Heimlich with a real possibility of breaking that she has already gone under 2:16 this year indoor (2:15.64 PR) . I believe if she gets the MOAC record she would hold the current girls 800M record in 3 leagues at the same time. NOL 2:18.72 SBC 2:19.73 MOAC

Who else out there has a shot at some records ? I saw Kerrigan Myers of Galion had a nice indoor season, she should be up for a good outdoor.

Only 2 records were broken last year and they were both on the girls side. Abbe Davis of North Union broke her previous records in the 100 and 200 by going 12.27 in the 100 and 25.24 in the 200. Other than that, the record listings that are dated from 2017 are correct.

You simply get on the moac website and go the girls track page or the boys track page. It will say click here for the moac meet records. It’s not hard. Oh wait I forgot that you were from Shelby so I should probably explain that you need to go the girls page for the girls records and then the boys page for the boys before you get confused again.

Good one, I found it, I was googling moac track records and it kept pulling up the one from 2013. If I would have just gone to the moac site to start with. this is what comes up googling moac track records www.moacsports.com/MISC/Records.htm

One note about the records that may be obvious to some but not others: these are records for the MOAC league meet only and not necessarily the fastest times put up by these runners.

Yes, that's what conference records are. The records from the conference meet.

Yes, MOAC record is just from the meet. I think people were just still surprised Zach Kreft didn't hold either 1600 or 3200, since his 1600M PR is 4:10.10 and 3200M PR is 8:58.48 He was well capable of breaking either, must have just been going for the win and meet points and not the record. I'm sure he was in multiple events conserving energy. The same thing may happen again this year.

The only 2 records that were broke at the conference meet last year were by the NU girl who broke ser own 100 and 200 records. Unfortunately for(or fortunately) for her she also played softball so when her team made the final 4 she had to miss regionals. She would have been a lock for all ohio. Typically coaches don't peak out a kid like Kreft for a conference meet. They wait for regionals and state to do that.

The girls 4x800 record has a good chance of falling. Last year Ontario ran a 9:43 at the Regional meet and all 4 girls are back.

Shelby travels to Edison today. Don't expect a real exciting meet, number of sick kids and it's early season.

Shelby’s boys should hold every record from 800m up after this season including 4X800...

Brown could break the 3200M 9:37.6 easily but so could have Kreft last year no guarantee as to how it will play out. Brown went 9:07 indoor I look for him to possibly break under 9:00 at some point this year. I think there are a few current MOAC runners that could possibly break the 9:37 Shelby’s Sam Logan and Galion’s Braxton Tate to name a couple. But I doubt Logan will run the 3200 at MOAC Tate most likely, I look for him and Brown to have good times and they both have two years to break that record. The 800M 1:53.8 and 1600M 4:21.8 both owned by Zach Lathrop of RV are solid times but possibly in jeopardy as well, by Lucius and Logan. Brown ran a 4:20 indoor but I don’t know if he will run the 1600 at the league meet. The 4X800 8:07 Highland set 2014 should fall to Shelby if they go after it, problem is I don't know that anyone at MOAC will be able to push them under 8:00 it’s much harder on your own. Last year we had Perkins. Brown,Swanger,Logan, and Lucius will all need to be healthy
We had a few of the distance kids sick at the recent Edison meet and it showed big time, just hoping that does not happen towards the end of the season

The number one goal is winning the team trophy AND there are more important meets the next three weeks. Breaking a League Record, especially in distance events, the record needs to be considerably slower than your PR OR you must be pushed picking up points for the TEAM, that's is your #1 goal. Weather?

I thought those were all time records or are they league meet records??? Just league meet records That's why Kreft didn't break some of those records last year he was well capable, just saving it for a run through the tournament over the next three weeks. Same thing may happen this year.

Well Shelby will break the 4x800 even as a good warmup in the AM and then each will run 1 or 2 additional events. The 800M record is probably safe from the Shelby kids at that point in the season. My guess is the 1600 record and 3200 records could both fall but the 3200 more than likely.

4 of the top 6 Shelby distance guys will not be running Tuesday. Logan, Swanger, Brown, Sickmiller. Still trying to get the team healthy. One confirmed case of mono.
About the most interesting thing in this meet will be to see how Shelby sprinter Grant Gossom does against the Bellevue squad. Bellevue seems to always be one of the top sprinter schools in our area. Gossom looks to be turning into a very good 200M guy. If so that should help a lot and give some balance to the Whippets. Shelby has been lacking a strong sprinter since Tuttle graduated.

You forgot the Galion girls 4X100 that broke the meet record and got dq'd by a phantom out of the zone call which we have video evidence didn't happen.
