Okay let’s focus on Huron County then a divison 2 state championship in the last 5 years. 3 teams in the sweet 16 in 3 different divisions how many other county’s can say that? Look west and you may find your answer. regularly. County?

Look west and you may find your answer. regularly. County? I feel the most obvious is Lucas since they have so many schools across all divisions. Plus Allen, Defiance and Mercer (when Celina makes it) could have 3 divisions worth of sweet 16 members.

Lucas with 5X or more people had 3, 2 of which were private schools really not the same, Mercer did have 2, Allen 1 and I’m not sure Defiance has ever had 3...

Just like Upper in 05, 07, PC 11, Norwalk in 14, Lex in 18 by my count that’s 5 out of last ten years with a team in the final 4 and 2 STATE champs...Not bad for the area Debbie... You do know that Upper, PC and Lex are not in Huron County? I was saving that for dude to point out.

Do you know when those consolidations happened? I wanna say early 60's for York and late 60's or early 70's for Thompson? I did know that Thompson was used for a while after the consolidation, as that gives Bellevue the distinction of having operated schools in all 4 counties (just never all 4 at the same time) Also, do you remember Pike and McKim elemetaries, or know when they closed? I'm guessing McKim was replaced by Ridge and that Pike closed after they started using York? Read more: ncoast.proboards.com/thread/2185/huron-county-2019#ixzz5huAUlQmfYes York was first in the mid 60's followed by Thompson in 1970. Pike was closed probably when Shumaker and York came into play at that time as pivotal elementary schools, say late 50s/early60s absorbed by Ellis and Shumaker most likely. MckIM closed as a result of Ridge in the early to mid 60s. The Elementary school attendance zones had the weirdest boundaries. The north side of town from Buckeye Street to Greenwood Park and Euclid Ave area all the way up 269 and back down Northwest Road. East of 269 students who lived in the Lyme attendance zone from Strecker Road all the way down to Route 4 and 547 over to Sandhill Road/Williams Road to Route 113 near Monroeville. Actually Williams Road north of Route 20 is Bellevue and S of 20 is Monroeville Schools. lol Ridge had the shortest attendance zone the entire east end from downtown Bellevue to 113 west of Prairie Road..What was weird though is that kids who lived in some the Ridge attendance zones went to Lyme and kids that lived south of town on Route 18 by Hogues, 269 down to Flat Rock Road to Flat Rock proper attended Ridge School. Kids who lived down Monroe Street/Baur Road all the way to the tracks went to Lyme. York had the most students with 600-700 kids with three classes of kids in each grade. The southern boundary of Bellevue schools seems to intertwine with Seneca Easts boundary and the hs is only five miles from the boundary. Clyde and parts of Tiffin City also intertwine with Bellevue in Adams Twp, yes Bellevue school busses have alot of long routes..lol Does anyone know the name of the pre-school that was in Bellevue back in the mid-late 70's? The name "Red School" seems to ring a bell, but I can't remember for sure.

I've noticed on school district maps that extreme NW Bellevue City Schools just about about borders Fremont City.
