^^^ Exactly. Too many players that just aren’t consistently contributing. It’s amazing the spiral we’re in, just a few weeks back we were one day away from being ranked #1 before the loss to Minny and now we probably won’t even be ranked in the next poll. Hopefully they get it figured out soon, whatever “it” is.

Is it possible the "it" is Holtmann?

Agree with wf. This is not a big ten basketball team built to compete in this rough tumble league. If it was a playground run and gun league the bucks would be okay. Need to recruit tough players.

And the free fall continues. Ohio State had no business losing this game, they were in control for most of the game. I don’t even know what else to say about this team that hasn’t already been said. If they don’t get things corrected there’s a serious chance they don’t even make the tourney.

I’m still struggling so much to see where Kaleb Wesson is first round draft pick too. What the heck are the scouts seeing?

NIT is on the horizon. Sloppy play, awful ball movement, spacing issues, mind-blowing turnovers, and lack of leadership. Oh, and no go-to scorer in clutch time. The first nine games were clearly a mirage. While there is a crazy amount of parity this year, with a wide-open field, UNC, Villanova & Kentucky are not blue-blood level world-beaters this year. When Rutgers is now a foreseeable ‘L’, they will likely finish out of the field in March. Hell, I’m not convinced they’ll beat Northwestern in Evanston. I blame this whole thing on the Playoff loss to Clemson. The wheels starting falling off that following Sunday. When’s the Spring Game again?

What the heck are the scouts seeing? he is a grade C- Channing Frye, a tall guy with a soft touch i mean it's the NBA, if you're 6'10" and can hit a J there is a spot for you...although i have not seen him with a 1st round grade anywhere? not being an apologist for Wesson who has always been disappointing he can hold a roster spot after like pick 6 in the NBA draft it's all a crapshoot, and this is as weak a draft class as we have seen maybe ever...at least since Anthony "Rheba" Bennet went #1 to the Cavs

Game on the line...shot clock running down...and our big guy is shooting a 3-pointer? I know I'm turning into "get off my lawn" guy. And I know the game has changed. But I hated that shot.

Wide open shot from someone shooting 41% from 3 is a bad shot? I already acknowledged that the game has changed. I'd rather have my big catching the ball inside and finishing around the rim instead of launching a 3. And he might be 41% for the year, but yesterday he was 0-3 from long range and 1-10 overall. So he was off the entire night. Just my opinion.

Horrendous shooting as the game progressed. Kaleb posts up well, but needs to soften his hook, they consistently come off the back of the rim, with no backspin. I think this team is suffering from a lack of self confidence. Usually, when a team is in a slump, someone gets a hot hand and pulls his team mates out of it. Don't see anyone will or able to do that.

It was a shot that a guy who is supposedly the 2nd best shooter on the team took. It was wide open and he just missed it. It was imo a good shot. I'm as disappointed in an OSU team as I have ever been in how these guys are playing. After watching in person yesterday--- Kyle Young played hard and gave us a winning performance Kaleb, other than grabbing boards (14) every other aspect was just a losing performance. Looked slow and weak and missed his shots that he usually makes. Andre W--mediocre performance. He looks like a kid who belongs at a mid major--not Ohio State. Luther--I cannot question his defensive effort. His offense went south in the middle of Dec and hasn't returned. Another kid that in a lot of ways looks like a MAC player. Walker--Plays hard, but is starting to look like a miss in the transfer situation. Trying to lead but is fighting a battle of lack of talent. DJ Carton--just has fallen off the court and is in a serious no confidence mindset. Still a true Freshman. EJ Liddell--Did not play enough to form an opinion--Must be in the doghouse or is just hitting that freshman wall. Lonzo Gaffney--Not getting a spec of court time. Total mystery. Aherns--Coaches have no confidence in him evidently. D Washington--Gave a winning performance from most aspects. Tried to do a little too much,,,but it's looking like he is our top outside shooter and needs to be a starter.
Coach Holtman and staff. Lost after being up by 10 at home against an average team. That should not happen to a well coached team. Makes me wonder if this is truly a well coached team at present.

Well they got the win over Northwestern but it wasn’t pretty really. Still not playing well enough to beat top tier teams. Kaleb Wesson with another subpar game. And as several of us have mentioned on here, Muhammad is still lost. I know he didn’t play in the second half(some type of injury?), but he still just doesn’t look good other than playing hard. They have a pretty tough stretch of games coming up though.

It was a better performance all in all. Hopefully a first step towards regaining confidence. Honestly thinking that is part of our problem.

Ohio State’s season just keeps getting better. Carton is leaving the team to deal with “personal matters”. Currently it’ll be just the next game but you never know how long it could be with things like this.

The more I think about it the more I doubt he comes back.
Just my opinion but I think that if Ohio State we’re still ranked in the top 5 or 10, he wouldn’t be leaving.

OSU playing much better today, moving the ball well. Ahrens with good shooting. Muhammad is still atrocious on offense though. And Washington is an offense killer with some of his horrible shot selections and bad turnovers.

Slowly improving. Big test at scUM on Tuesday. I hate the Schott. It's like playing in a morgue with all the high rollers sitting in lower level with arms crossed staring at the floor. Worst venue in B1G imo.

Students sit in the lowest seats on one side and ends. Where students sit is no excuse for the way a team plays.

I liked what I saw today. Good rotation on offense, good movement away from the ball and loved the high/low post plays. I was impressed with Indiana's defensive intensity 2nd half. OSU kicked up their defense as well.

Solid win tonight over Michigan. Both teams going back and forth all night. The jersey pull by Simpson on Young at the end of the game was huge. And huge of Young to knock down both free throws.
Muhammad is still atrocious on offense. His minutes need to go down some more, I’d like to start to see Ahrens get a few more minutes if he’s going to keep shooting well.
Washington is a tough on to figure out. Some minutes I love him, other times I want him benched for horrible shot selection and untimely turnovers. He did hit a huge 3 at the end of the game. You can see he has so much potential but just makes some really bad decisions.

I don’t know how these coaches in the B1G can stand the officiating in the league. What’s a foul and what isn’t a foul seems to change every possession

What a strange call to deal with as an official. It changed the completion of the game in OSU’s favor for sure. As you watch the team play these last 3 games,,clearly different than the previous 6-7. D wash and Young being healthy,, mean a lot. Add a revitalized DJ Carton and maybe we’re back to the early season OSU
