Wow that's surprising. I heard during the season that it was going to happen but I figured they changed their mind since we're almost halfway through May.

Hard to envision coach Gast (josh) leaving his brother’s staff. I also believe he has a son that plays on the team that was one of the freshman this past season. BV was very competitive this season despite playing 3-4 freshman big varsity minutes. BV also moving to a better league next year in the Mid-State League that is absolutely loaded with good teams. However, maybe he is looking for a head coaching position as he teaches at RV I believe as well.

Egan's record at River Valley was 12-34 and his career record is now 281-289.

I have always thought a coach will get another season if he can hold position until to May but I did hear this spot was open on May 4th.

Buckeye Valley left the MOAC. That gives R Valley and Brown the most talent in the MOAC over the next six years. The Vikings should be in the title hunt.
No Gast or Schwemley. Anyone heard any other names that were in the hunt?

Can't speak for Clear Fork, Pleasant and Shelby, but RV will not have more talent than Ontario for at least the next 2 years. AND Brown isn't in the same conversation with Balogh.

Can't speak for Clear Fork, Pleasant and Shelby, but RV will not have more talent than Ontario for at least the next 2 years. AND Brown isn't in the same conversation with Balogh. I think he just worded it poorly. RV's 7th and 8th grade team won the MOAC, Shelby was runner up in both grades. I think he was speaking about that, not them being the best team every year for the next 6 years. Ontario is the most talented team in the conference next year and have the best coach. |

Will the previously scheduled scrimmages at River Valley be help since schools had already committed? Had the 22nd on my calendar to go watch a could games.

I hear from the RV faithful that they will be going to play at BV this coming Monday. Should be a good scrimmage for coach Brown to see how his kids play vs good competition.
