Just watched the newest documentary, The Dominican Dream, it was a great film about Felipe Lopez from a perspective other than "not living up to the hype". It was really good and made me think of what my favorite 30 for 30 documentaries are. It was hard to narrow it down but here are a few of my favorites in no particular order.
- Small Potatoes: Who Killed the USFL? - The Two Escobars - Slaying the Badger - George Best: All By Himself - Pony Excess - Benji - Reqiuem For the Big East - Hawaiian: The Legend of Eddie Aikau
The Celtics/Lakers series and OJ Made in America were also incredible.
Upcoming are documentaries are on the Sacramento Kings not relocating, Michael Vick, Dennis Rodman, Lance Armstrong, Janet Guthrie, Florence Griffith-Joyner, Tito Ortiz, Chuck Liddell and a 10 part series on Michael Jordan
I'd like to see documentaries over Pete Maravich, Steve Prefontaine, Manchester City's transformation into 2012 EPL Champions
Thoughts? Your favorites? Documentary topics you'd like to see?

I liked requiem for the Big East, Survive and Advance, Pony Excess off the top of my head. I also like some of the "SEC Storied" documentaries, in particular one entitled "Bo, Barkley and The Big Hurt". The climatic bit is the 2013 Iron Bowl when Auburn's Chris Davis ran back a missed FG for a game winning TD.

I watched the Chuck and Tito one on Sunday and thought it was pretty good. I really enjoyed the OJ Made in America one during the NBA Finals the year the Cavs won the title.
