What does a nationally known rapper have to do with this??? [] I’m not sure what I should be more disappointed with my grammar or you for knowing who ludacris was/is. You butchering of the King's English is legendary, going all the way back to the Puddle.

Just like Sandusky & SMCC have worked so well together in the past. I think SMCC get's to play on Strobel for next to nothing. And did minimal fund raising? Susan Sackett, who was the Sandusky AD in 2010, and got the turf done. NOBODY else. It was her priority #1-#100, and she met with Kinzel, played the both the community and SSMCC cards, and the deal was struck. She is the best AD that very few ever heard of during her time, nor will recall a decade later. To say that SSMCC had "nothing" to do with this is discounting Kinzel's strong ties as an alum, which can't be truly measured. Need further proof, when asked for input on improving "The Den," Kinzel essentially gave SSMCC a blank check, which garnered the family "naming rights."

I guess I did forget to mention, they did have a paver sitting in the parking lot today. I just thought both projects would have been completed by now, considering the money was voted on/made available back in MARCH and there is a season fast approaching. IDK maybe I’m asking for too much. Just a thought....being that much of the work being done is "in kind," then it stands to reason that it also would NOT be at the top of the timeline. Many "full paying" jobs are also scheduled, many prior to March. 3 weeks time is more than enough time to get things done, IF everyone continues pull on the rope from the same end. Prior to 2018, that has never been a strong suit in the Maple City.

They will be starting work on the bleachers on the 26th, and the lot won’t take long. If you read my initial post I said 18 days was enough time, just wondering when the work was scheduled to begin. Anyone know how long it takes to put up aluminum bleachers? Is 4 days enough?

Then there is the inspection phase. Norwalk reconditioned the home bleachers two years ago and they finally got the inspector there hours before the first game. They had been done for weeks, but the bleachers were off limits for the scrimmage and almost for the first game pending thie inspection.

I’d be worried about inspection more than construction as curmudgeon mentioned. Inspectors are very picky about any kind of bleacher. Oak Harbor had their new visitors stands fail a few years ago. If memory serves me right it failed twice before passing initial inspection.

Not to minimize your statement because I agree but I will point out Kinzel wasn't an "alum". He is from Toledo and I believe went to Central Catholic.

She is at Sylvania Southview now. Top 5 AD in Ohio. Right on the money, man. Susie could sell ice cream to eskimos. And a blast to be around.

But it’s a shame because she was a darn good AD. AD job doesn’t leave much time for family though, so not surprised.

Only so many contractors in the state do these turf projects. Gotta get in line.

Either way it’s still better than Shelby’s facilities. That place is a dump

I've been told that the visiting bleachers go in on the 19th. I was at Whitney Field this morning around 9:00am, and work has not yet started on the visitors bleachers. I think they have enough time to get the jod done but we are down to 13 days till the first game.

Coming from Shelby Friday night...should we bring lawn chairs or you think they’ll be enough room on home side for everyone?

I guess it's this upcoming Monday when it goes into place. At any rate, nice mix or red and gray with blue and gold this evening. I thought Shelby brought a decent crowd.
