Which school is going to be the "UCF"/"Boise St" for this year Michigan. Sad to say, they play like a mid-Major in big games. Maybe this year it changes?

Cincinnati is got to be the best non power 5. Everyone on their schedule should be on notice. UCF will still have a strong offense but defense is more open. Their biggest non conference is Florida A&M, FAU and Stanford Memphis also looks really good This will be UAB's third year back after reinstating the football program, they went 11-3 last year and will a cakewalk of a year this year Army also has a very good chance of a double digit season after going 11-2 last year, their current schedule should give them a similar record Like always Boise State should be pretty good and climb the rankings

I think they'll get a bigger test from kiffin. I was not at all impressed with Cincy's skill players. UCLA is awful.

Coach Day & staff undoubtedly, are expecting the unexpected, with deceivement and trickery possible at any point in the game. The fact that Kiffin is the opposing coach, adds additional interest to this home opener.

Joe Burrows goes into Austin, TX...self-proclaimed DBU, and busts out a 31/38, 471 yards, 4-TD game.
Everyone knows WE are DBU, but I didn't know we were QBU too woot.

I haven't seen AL yet, how have they looked? They haven't played anyone yet that could challenge them. In game 1 against Duke they started slow, not scoring until near the mid-point of the 2nd qtr. That started a scoring flurry of 104 PTs over the next 6 QTRs before letting up on New Mexico State in the 4th. 42-3 over Duke 62-10 over NMS QB Tua Tagovailoa is the star with 563 YDs passing, 7 TDs, 0 INTs & a 204.3 QB rating so far. There are no obvious weaknesses. This team appears similar to last year with a very good passing attack, a decent running attack and a top ten team defense. Good games will be Texas A&M and Auburn on the road and LSU at home. They are the favorite to escape the SEC West and likely face Georgia in the Conf. Championship. On a neutral field they are probably a toss-up against Clemson and a clear favorite against everyone else.

The big story of the day, has to be Maryland. Everyone will be watching them with baited interest. I think we will learn all we need to know if they are legit, when they play Penn State on the 27th. The new transfer rules have made it feasible for certain teams, missing a few key components, to graduate from average to contenders in a single season.
Proving to be grossly over-rated, wolverweasles are a more accurate kick from losing to Army in regulation. They will get their butts handed to them in two weeks at Wisconsin.

Latest AP poll Auburn won 24-6 over Tulane - moved up 2 spots to 8th Florida won 45-0 over UT Martin - moved up 2 spots to 9th LSU won 45-38 over Texas - moved up 2 spots to 4th Notre Dame - did not play - moved up 1 spot to 7th
Ohio State won 42-0 over Cincinnati - drops in the polls
Yeah, there is no SEC bias. And ND never gets overrated for doing nothing.
Why is LSU's win over Texas so impressive? 2017 Maryland over Texas 51-41 2018 Maryland over Texas 34-29 2019 LSU over Texas 45-38 - WOW, so amazing. LSU is king of the world 2019 Maryland over #21 Syracuse 63-20. Ho Hum, I guess we will rank you. I wish you were SEC though cuz I'd slide you up to #10 for that win.
Maryland would have whooped Texas again. Why does LSU get so much credit for beating Texas, Maryland's been doing that for years and getting no credit. Oh, I forgot LSU plays in the SEC and Maryland doesn't.

2018 Army takes Oklahoma to OVERTIME - Oklahoma drops 1 spot 2019 Army takes Michigan to OVERTIME - Michigan drops 3 spots
Oklahoma was also allowed to play in the Playoff in the same year Army took them to OVERTIME If Michigan is sitting where OU was last year on December 8th, you can take it to the bank that the Committee will cite the overtime game with Army as why they left Michigan out.
There is no bias,

Army went 10-2 last year, 1 of those losses was an overtime loss to PLAYOFF QUALIFIER Oklahoma in OVERTIME.
If you were surprised that Army took Michigan to overtime then that's on you. Army has an excellent football team. Michigan is still very good, just like Oklahoma was still very good last year after Army took them to overtime. Michigan may lose to Wisconsin but that will not be because Michigan stinks it will be because Wisconsin has an excellent team too.
A little comparison 2018 Army over Houston 70-14 2018 Houston over Tulane 48-17
2019 Auburn over Tulane 24-6 2019 Michigan over Army in overtime Auburn leap frogs Michigan by beating Tulane 24-6. Huh? Army would wreak Tulane.
I'm clueless as to why you are sticking up for the AP voters who didn't do their homework.

Could this be the year that we get three teams from the almighty SEC into the invitational? Before you dismiss this thought i’m sure there has to be some senario where this could possibly happen and the esecpn cronies will be smiling ear to ear. Food for thought.

Oh it could easily happen this year. It’s a given that a 1 loss team From the sec will get the nod over a 1 loss team from any other conference

Clemson was a heartbeat away from losing their first game of the year against an average North Carolina team. NC has a nice defense, but offensively, very average. An average QB and receivers that cant hang onto the ball.
Saturday, Aug. 31: North Carolina 24, South Carolina 20 - WIN Saturday, Sept. 7: North Carolina 28, Miami 25 - WIN Thursday, Sept. 12: Wake Forest 24, North Carolina 18 - LOSS Saturday, Sept. 21: Appalachian State 34, North Carolina 31 - LOSS Saturday, Sept. 28: Clemson Tigers 21, North Carolina 20 - LOSS

OSU looks to be as complete a team as I've seen this year. 11 units strong. At present you'd be hard pressed to find an area to criticize. The O-line, wow is all I can say. 5 weeks of big gaps to run through. The Defense improvement, wow is all I can say. when and if Tyreke Smith comes back we'll be even better.

I'm not overly optimistic at seeing Tyreke on the field anytime soon, if at all. The rumors are, he is recovering from a pectoral muscle strain/tear and that takes a long time to heal. (if in fact, that's what it is)

Heather Dinich (esecpn’s cronie to promote the sec) has Alabama,Auburn,Georgia, and LSU in her invitational playoff right now. Talk about the fix. When do all the other conferences form there own playoff and crown there own national champion? I thought they would find a way to get 3 sec teams in this year but let’s just make it an even number.
