Eastern Michigan beat Illinois. Therefore, Eastern Michigan is better than Wisconsin

Wisconsin gets caught looking ahead? The Illini prevail 24-23! Think this game will be closely scrutinized by OSU coaches and re-scrutinized....lol

Harbaugh halftime quote: "This will be Michigan's finest hour" Well coach, you and your team are still a lower tier program. Extend his contract Michigan, please!

Harbaugh is not the one who dropped the game tying TD.

LSU’s “quality win” over Texas not so impressive at this point. I know Ehlinger is a gamer, and they have some injuries, but the Longhorns appear to be trash.

Texas the last 10 years 2010 - 7 losses 2011 - 5 losses 2012 - 4 losses 2013 - 5 losses 2014 - 7 losses 2015 - 7 losses 2016 - 7 losses 2017 - 6 losses 2018 - 4 losses 2019 - sitting at 5-2
Let's say Texas makes the Big XII Champ game (that's another loss to OU) Lose their bowl game and it's 4 losses which would make the 10th straight year they do that.

i think Herman has that thing trending up tho, they were in pretty rough shape there in the post-Mack Brown era, and he has had some good wins (albeit losing a both ends of a home-and-home with Maryland makes no sense to me) vs OKL and GA

Either way, I just roll my eyes at all the “we’re back” declarations from Texas/players over the past couple years (e.g. 2016 win vs. Notre Dame). Make the CFB Playoff and we can have that discussion.

Penn St and Minnesota are both on a bye week next week so their November 9th game will be (8-0) Penn State at (8-0) Minnesota. The weather forecast for that game will be interesting. If it's below 30 degrees, look out

Texas with 3 losses now, hopefully the people on TV can now stop calling LSU’s win over Texas a big win.
And Oklahoma goes down to Kansas State.

The CFP picture refines itself and comes increasingly, more in focus. Those advocating expansion, have a poor example to work with, this year. Two and three loss teams? Nah......... By seasons end, it will be quite clear, who the best four are.

At this point in the season, the biggest question that lingers in my mind is: Just how bad is Notre Dame? Obviously, grossly over-rated. They gave up 45 points to a limp dicked M offense.....45 points? This is the same M team that went in at halftime vs. Maryland with like, 50 yards of offense....lol
What the hell happened with Maryland? With two blowout wins to start the season, they were ranked #21 in the country and looked like a team, poised to turn the corner. After last year, they took Ohio State into overtime and the fast start, giving Syracuse it's worst defeat of the year, that includes the likes of NC State, Clemson & FSU. There has to be a story in there somewhere. Still has my head shaking, that Maryland has earned themselves into special category with Rutgers....lol
The team everyone is keeping an eye on, is certainly Minnesota. I think they are much better than anyone is willing to give credit to, so far. They are under-ranked and given little respect, more doubters than believers. That could all change this Saturday. P.J. Fleck is on the short list with James Franklin and Ryan Day for B1G Coach of the Year and perhaps national COY. No one is mentioning it, but I would say the Nittany Lions are on upset alert this week. If the Gophers play PSU tough or even pull off the unimaginable, Minnesota is going to be at the forefront of the college football talk, the remainder of the year. After PSU, big games with Iowa, a regional rivalry with Northwestern and Wisconsin. If things go right, the Big Ten could get their share of national attention and discussion.
Spring game time, ESPN and others were advocating the emergence of Florida State this season, under the guidance of coach Willie Taggart, that was prematurely being billed a rising star in the coaching world. Sorry Willie, your stock is way down and you are job hunting. Expect other programs will be sniffing around for likely Seminoles entering the transfer portal.

Interesting that you spoke of both PJ Fleck and Florida State in the same post. Could Chief Osceola soon be replaced with a boat oar on the Seminole helmet? If Fleck can successfully navigate the heavily back-loaded portion of the schedule, I would expect many teams, including several middling SEC programs, to start loading the Brinks truck. Unless an epic collapse occurs, Minnesota better enjoy this season before they're looking for a new coach once again.

I've met Willie several times, once at IMG Academy and again in 2014 at USF. A good buddy of mine was his history teacher at Manatee. He was a prolific QB at Bradenton Manatee, and later at Western Kentucky, where he set all kinds of records. The jury is probably still out if he will ever be a viable college coach again, but you never met a nicer gentleman than this guy. He's a class act.

Well, Minnesota is not going to let him get away! P.J. Fleck just signed a 6 year contract extension for some big bucks. I'm pulling for them to be the surprise of the 2019 football season and finish strong. It would be good for the conference to have three strong coaches in James Franklin, Ryan Day and P.J. Fleck.
