Braxton Tate of Galion won the Galion CC Festival D2 race running 15:26.8 ( Great time )
Caleb Brown of Shelby did not run, was visiting Wisconsin U. Without Brown the Shelby team was 9th in the D2 race if Caleb ran they would have finished around 3rd or 4th. Highest finisher for Shelby was Caden Payne 27th 17:10.6

A little late but I see that Lex girls totally dominated the Galion Festival with a score of 29 points in a race of 18 teams. They took 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and had all five scoring runners finish in the top 12.

I see Brown didn't run Galion or Ontario. Is he injured? He's fine, wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't run again till the MOAC meet. That's a while with out competitive running for no reason. I was looking at some of the big meets last weekend to see if he ran. Hilliard was a big one but I saw that Shelby had the weekend off on their schedule. That would have been good competition for him. I saw that Ontario ran at Hilliard. Girls were 7th and boys were 21st.

I know the plan is for a long extended season through league, district, regional, state then beyond into nationals.

At the Harding invite Shelby without Brown running again was 4th.
1 Ashland 29, 2 Jonathan Alder 128, 3 Lexington 135, 4 Shelby 178, 5 Findlay 186, 6 Bloom-Carroll, 7 Newark, 8 Highland, 9 Liberty-Benton, 10 Northmor, 11 Pleasant, 12 Upper Sandusky, 13 Cardington-Lincoln, 14 Centerburg, 15 Ben. Logan, 16 Col. Crawford, 17 Mans. Christian, 18 Mount Vernon, 19 Marion Harding, 20 River Valley, 21 Elgin, 22 Ridgedale, 23 Clear Fork
If Brown ran they most likely flip spots with Lex and Shelby ends up 3rd
Looks like Shelby boys should easily repeat as MOAC champions and have a good shot be running at the state meet again this year.

I would expect the Ontario girls team to dominate the girls race. Any thoughts as to were other teams will place girls or boys, or what order the girls will place. In the boys race Braxton Tate will be the only competition for Caleb Brown they will be 1-2 most likely followed by Caden Payne of Shelby 3rd

It's amazing that they once again dominated the Regional too. Scoring 30 at that level is just plain impressive. Lex coach is definitely one of the best around. And now she has a coaching tree as well. The Ontario coach is a former runner of hers and coached under her for a few years. Take that and add in a couple of state level runners from another school and Ontario is doing well also.

He was recognized with OHSAA Sportsmanship, Ethics and Integrity Award at the State CC meet yesterday.
Anyone who knows the man knows he is a deserving recipient.
