If things go the way they are predicted, there will be only 1 contender for the final NOL title. Going as predicted is hardly ever the case. Truth. Not much has gone as predicted in the NOL in recent history.

I think Tiffin Columbian is a team that is generally over looked, with coach Kinn in his second year and with a couple talented classes from sophomore-senior. I think that TC will be a contender in the NOL's final year. I know they have a good big guy coming back but they don't have much talent at the guard position. That has been the case for awhile, they usually have some solid posts but struggle against pressure and have not been a good shooting team over the years that I have watched them. In my opinion, I think they are in the running for last place, not first place.

Well streaknation I can agree that they have had weak guard play, but they will have decent guards this year (nothing compared to what you guys have) none the less they have a decent point guard and a couple other guards off the bench. I think columbian may not win, but they will end the year I think top 4. Just my opinion though won't know until they start playing.

bg, you went from being a title contender in the NOL to a top 4 finisher in 2 posts. Being top 4 of 7 when they finished 5th last season is not much of a change.

Scooter, I suppose you do have a point. I think that columbian will be better than past teams, as Kinn will have them for another year can only help them. Unfortunately they play Ontario and Sandusky twice each (Columbian probably won't win either of those games) Shelby could be a toss up depending on if they can get their athletes to come out. I stand by and say TC will finish in the upper 3-4 teams. While I know one place may not mean much on paper, but it does when you have been a bottom dweller in football and in basketball for the last few years.

Norwalk that is true, the only other team that is a toss up (besides shelby) is willard. I am not sure how they are supposed to be this year. How is Norwalk supposed to be this year?

Norwalk doesn't have a true "big man", but IMO they return 2 guards that are better than any guard that TC returns.
Depending on Shelby, who goes out, when they go out, and if they're allowed to change their minds again. Shelby and Norwalk could be close.

Shelby will have 3 tough guards in Hipp, Kehres, and Hill.

Hipp and Kehres are golfers so they are in the gym now. Hill being a wide-out could be delayed a week or 3.

Why did a lot of those kids not go out at first for shelby last year? Something to do with the coach?

Two kids are considered by some to be highly recruit-able D1 prospects in sports other than basketball. They had decided to commit to those sports but as the season began they had second thoughts.

^^^I hear they have a new coach. Old school guy with values that can make an impact almost immediately.

Norwalk may be down a point guard to start the season. Word from the kids is that he is having surgery on his arm this week - due to the football injury.

It's not how you start it's how you finish.

TC had their first scrimmage this past weekend and they looked average against Huron and Galion. Galion does not have a true big man at all, and Huron is a decently coached team. I am not sure what to make of this, any other teams have scrimmages this last weekend? Or during this week?
