All poor baby. Now maybe he'll find out what my brothers and felt like being under the sights of someone intending to kill you. I will watch my Steelers because the whole team decided to respect the FLAG because one of their teammates fought for our country and flag in Afcan. more than once with the 75th. rangers.

Are we really at the point in this country where it's OK to kill somebody over a peaceful protest? Kind of makes his point for him doesn't it.

I wouldn't give that dirtbag points for any of his anti-American, anti-law enforcement stance. On the positive side of things. 99% of the black NFL players are showing due respect for our National hymn and the American flag. Good for them!

i don't really have a dog in this fight but i have to say it always amazes me how many people believe in freedom of speech and expression until someone else says something they don't want to hear

The majority of American's are expressing their 'freedom of speech' in their displeasure with this man's choice of actions.

Death threats are now covered under freedom of expression?

Why not just stay in the locker room.

Why not just stay in the locker room. That would be too easy and simple. Kaepernik wouldn't be able to agitate the American public.

Death threats are now covered under freedom of expression? Death threats? Don't even go there....Kaepernik has newly converted to Islam. Don't talk to the families of the 3,000 victims of radical Islamists about your so-called concerns about supposed, death threats.

Yep, keep on burning and stomping on our American flag and disrespecting our National Anthem, that'll sure get peoples attention for what you perceive as a righteous cause, trouble is, it only further alienates people . We all believe in our Consitutionally guaranteed Freedom of Speech, but that doesn't mean we have to embrace such boorish behavior.

I don't recall Muhammad Ali or Kareem blowing anyone up or threatening to.

He wanted the attention brought to the issue that he claims is the cause of his protest, but rather all he has done is alienated a bunch of patriots across the entire nation. Maybe he should have considered his actions before he made this poor choice. He could have organized a sit-in, provided a venue for a BLM meeting, or gone public on TV to claim his woes for the black community, but since we all live under the flag of freedom and men die for their country daily, to not show respect for the flag and what it represents is out of line in my book. He has the right to snub the flag. He has the right to say whatever he wants and however he so chooses, but then the balance of the population has the right to let him know how much his actions offend us and if some take it to a point of death threats, - as wrong as they may be - then he needs to "Suck it up, buttercup." He chose an extreme to make his point, so why is he crying when others choose an extreme in letting him know how they feel?
Maybe he should have chosen a better way to protest that brought attention to his cause. For an NFL QB, I'm certain he could've brought golden attention to his cause and looked like a hero rather than a heel. Sucks to be him.

The media chose to exacerbate his actions of disrespect for the Flag. If the protesters want to create a platform, create a platform of RESPECT!

I really feel sorry for Kaepernik's adoptive, Caucasian parents. Their adopted son, who they afforded a solid upbringing and every opportunity in life, have been given a slap in the face on a number of occasions.

Isn't it funny how these creeps always profess their freedom of expression and freedom to upset and offend others?
Simple solution can come from the coach. Tell his players, "Let it be known that anyone on this team choosing not to stand for our flag and National Anthem, please remain in the locker-room till afterwards".
"If not, you will remain on the bench during the course of the game".
"Can't stand up for our country, you can't stand and play for our team either".....simple.
"You want to play political activist.....fine, do it on your own time"
Would love to see a coach with that kind of back bone and principles.

What I liked about Ali was when he was drafted he refuse to be drafted to go to war ( Vietnam ) because he just turned Islam and didn't believe in killing. He was sent to prison and striped of his boxing title. Ali not once showed any disrespect for out country or our flag and believes. He paid for his decision and continual with his feelings about our country, flag and what she stood for. He believed that it was some of the people that needed to change and he protested them.
