Along with those players listed, how many other starters return from last years team? I thought they were an older bunch last year??

SBC COACHES RIVER PICKS: 1. Gibsonburg (27 points) 2. Margaretta (24) 3. Lakota (22) 4. Calvert (20) 4. Hopewell-Loudon (20) 6. Fremont St. Joseph (14) 7. Danbury (8) This is a joke. I think Media was closer. I think they voted the coaches that weren't there to high. I think Calvert or Hopewell should win. Gibsonburg lost there best two player (QB & FB).

I believe Bellevue finish at least 3rd in league. They only lost maybe at tops three senior players from last year. No way Clyde or Perkins finish ahead of them for sure and they will surprise one or two other teams in there division I think. Should be a fun season to watch.

I have talked to a few coaches who have scrimmaged or did some 7 on 7 with Sandusky. Also, they did lineman drills as well. They think Sandusky will be better this year than last. The quarterback has really progressed into a nice passing qb. He will have a some new targets who were not on the team last year, both about 6'2 or 6"3. Also, the line has improved from last year. My only question for concern will be the defense and depth at certain positions. I still think Norwalk will be the team to beat but I really think Chapin is going to need a big year for that to happen. He is a D1 qb in my eyes. Overall, this is the most competitive the lake has been in awhile. Any team could be anyone on any given night with the exception of Perkins. Should be a fun season.

Without a doubt Norwalk v Sandusky will be a great game to watch. Although I have high expectations for the Truckers this year and believe they will take it again, I would be even more confident if we returned a proven tailback. Hopefully, Sandusky fans will not have to sit on small portable bleachers. What the hell is the hold-up school board?

Just to be clear...it's only the third year of the SBC Lake this year.

I don't necessarily agree that Chapin needs big year for that to happen. I still think there will be a running game that will punish teams.

Has any of the SMCC signed up to play at Sandusky or Perkins, according to State law, if the student goes to a private school and that school does not offer a sport they can play for the team in which school district that they live in.

They think Sandusky will be better this year than last. I also think Sandusky will be better than their 1-4 last year.

Its a Toss up after Norwalk (at least today) of who can finish where! Bellevue, Clyde Sandusky, Tiffin can all beat each other. Only two clear placers - Perkins and Norwalk (On August 5th that is)
