Surely, Galion knew the state of Upper's program when they resumed playing them, and they knew they had Bucyrus also. If Galion views Upper as a rivalry that must be maintained along with Bucyrus, so be it, and that's two weeks left to the "nature of high school sports" as to whether you are benefited or harmed by your schedule. That makes the other non conference week very important. Why? Galion's not a football powerhouse. Why schedule like we are? Other than Pleasant, who is D5, everyone else in the conference is D4 with Harding being D2. Quite frankly, given our numbers and depth it's more important for us to head into conference play as healthy as possible. Wasn't aware that was Galion's NC schedule goal. Understandable, given the comment about Madison in the post above. My bad, carry on.

I’m honestly curious as to who even decides who they are going to schedule. The previous football coach seemed to have tons of power in scheduling and seemed to be the one who wanted Madison dropped like a hot potato. I don’t know if it’s the current coach or the ad making the decision. They were at least willing to schedule Tiffin Columbian for the jamboree so that’s a start.
