This is the 114th meeting in what is Ohio's 2nd oldest rivalry. Sandusky leads the all time series 56-49-8 and won last year 14-6.

It’s still Fremont, anything goes. However, if Stewart builds off of last week, little giants have no answer. The freshman qb could be in for a long night.

The Blue Streaks have a three game win streak over Ross. Almost no offense? Ask Toledo Start about that.

Keith, in fairness, it's Start. Those TCL don't show the physicality the SBC Lake present. I'm happy Ross won, but not overly excited about it.

I'm not sure what Fremont has on defense but I do know they have 4 freshman starting on offense. Could be a growing and learning season for these young men.

I’ve said it multiple times, the rivalry equalizes a lot. Fremont’s strength, their defensive front, could dampen Sandusky’s offense. My guess is that Sandusky wins, maybe by as much as 3 scores, but I don’t think it’ll be because Sandusky dominates the LOS and runs the ball for 300+ yards. They’ll need to spread the ball out more than they did last week, but Sandusky is mature and complete enough of a team this year to do that, IMO.

I see 35-14, Sandusky. There is your 3 score difference.

We really old Ross fans will remember that this year is the 50th anniversary of the 28-27 Ross upset of state ranked Sandusky in 1969. One of only two wins for the Chuck Shuff coached Little Giants that year. The win was credited with helping pass a crucial school levy that year.

With a rivalry dating back to 1895 (not that its got anything to do with it) I was just looking to see how many times the Blue Streaks or Ross have won State Championships. I was surprised to find that the Sandusky Blue Streaks and Fremont Ross have never had State Championships? With these exceptions? Fremont Ross...Boys swimming and diving – 1936, 1938, 1939, 1941, 1942, 1943, 1953 Boys golf – 1973. Sandusky Blue Streaks Boys Golf - 1947 Boys Swimming – 1946 Boys Track and Field – 1937. Yet both Schools have a good number of guys that have played pro football.

Even then, Streaks jumped out to 13-0 lead before succumbing to Harding, 27-13. Sandusky QB that year? Non other than Head Coach Mike Franklin.

No way Ross holds Sandusky to 7 with ray Long the defense coordinator, anything is possible. He’s done a pretty good job of shutting down SBC teams for awhile now. Defense, more than anything, is toughness and effort. He had that at Clyde (and Chad) at Tiffin. Ross, not as much.

He might want to go there and help him, I mean he was able to shut down the pre NOL merger SBC, he outta stop the firelands conference from putting a running clock on them.

All this makes me wonder how much longer Ross will settle for mediocrity at HC. LGs have been underwhelming under all of Longs tenure.

What I suspect is going to happen here is that Ross is going to have a hard time putting up points. Thus far in 8 quarters of play against St. Francis, Padua and Springfield The blue streak varsity defense has let up 20 points. For a team as young as Ross is that’s not a good sign.
It’s just a question of how long and if fremont’s defense can hold up imo. Keep Sandusky under 17 and they might have a shot.

With as young as this Fremont team is, I don’t think Sandusky is going to have any trouble finding holes in Ross’ defense.
