Only replay I've seen of the backward pass. It was close but also looks like this view was from at an angle farther down field so it isn't the best.

One thing that video shows is the umpire clearly waving his arms in the incomplete pass motion. Apparently he didn't also blow his whistle?

If Mr Simpson states the facts then yes. Are you trying to say it was a backwards pass? I am sure there will be video proof, where were you sitting? Whether it was or not doesn’t matter. The better team won as it is. Sandusky is a great team for sure, but it did matter in a game decided by 7 points. That is why I mentioned it... I hope Stewart’s ankle holds up, he is a special player who is fun to watch.

Gutsy win by Sandusky. Man they’ve been hit by the injury bug hard this season.

Well, it was close either way but one thing I will say is that its not that backfield umpires call. Sandusky has got to cleanup the penalties if they expect to beat Norwalk (which i don't think they will). Sandusky should have beat Tiffin by 3 touchdowns at least, they struggled to move the ball and Sandusky gift wrapped two of the touchdowns with their lack of discipline. At some point, you have to look in the mirror Sandusky and figure it out. I would like to say some calls were bad but when you got back to back games with 15 plus penalties and each game had different officiating crews. The blame is on players but also coaches.

I agree it wasn't his call, but by waving his arms he caused any players who saw him do that to think the play was over

At the risk of tooting my own horn, this was easy for me; if a team waits 6 weeks to play adequate competition, it will catch up.

TCL teams aren’t worth a dime in non-conference play. To be fair, Ross and Ashland are traditionally much stronger opponents than they are this year.

From my angle, the pass was a forward pass. I was around the 5 yard line watching. I knew what the refs called but in all honesty was extremely shocked.
Had Sandusky not gotten that call, who knows if Tiffin would have marched down the field and tied it up. They had the momentum and it was getting to the streaks players.
Tiffin had a drive for 6 that Sandusky helped out on, by committing some very bad penalties. Those penalties could have easily never happened with simple self control.
Late in the game Tiffin was down and had one last chance to get a turnover with 2 timeouts remaining. They had the streaks like 1st and 30, maybe more it seemed. They were also deep in there own territory which would have given tiffin very good field position if they could have gotten it back. They let’s a big play and two small plays kill their chances.
If you ask me.... Tiffin doesn’t muff kick and punt returns, don’t have a bad call for 6, they very well could have and probably should have won.

Listen, I get it why TC did what it did, and besides, TC has scheduled up over the years, so I don't want to get in the habit of busting their chops regarding scheduling. My comment was just in theory, and 99 out of 100 it holds true.

You can’t give ifs and buts for one team and not the other. Sandusky was clearly the better team, even with their 3rd string QB and not being able to get out of their own way. Sandusky won. Period.

Streak,
You’re right to a certain extent. Had Stewart not hurt the ankle, had Sandusky played cleaner ball, had they made the tackles they needed to on that big kick return.
I just look at it from the perspective of, TC pretty much owned that second half and showed they were just as good of a team as Sandusky. At the end of the day and let’s be totally honest, the streaks are one player away from being no longer a contender for a league title.
When Clyde, Norwalk, and Bellevue come knocking on the door all these mental errors (penalties) are going to be the difference.
I think there is a very good argument to make that the better team may not have one last night.

Tiffin had trouble moving the ball against the Sandusky defense. Does Sandusky need to clean up the penalties? Yes. Especially for Clyde and Norwalk and moving forward to a hopeful playoff birth. Franklin needs to continue improving because he’s the guy, ready or not.

Sandusky goes out and beats Columbian with their 3rd string QB and their star RB hobbled by injury. Oh and they committed about 100 penalties and turned the ball over twice in the process. I find it hard to reach any other conclusion than they were the better team because if they weren’t they’d never be able to overcome that type of situation and still win.
It’s a shame we’ll never get to see this team at it’s full potential.

I thought it was hilarious that people were predicting blow outs or that Tiffin was scoring 35+ in the process. Sandusky never wins a game against teams like Tiffin. Teams like Tiffin always best themselves.

This is also the site of opinions.
To say Bellevue isn’t better than Tiffin is an opinion.
Sandusky had a hard time running or passing the ball against Tiffin as well, sooooo.... again an opinion.
Sandusky was given 6 points, another opinion.
Trust me I don’t dislike the streaks, they’re good. But Tiffin was never out of that game and had they not been IMO, screwed on 6 points, you never know.

Overall, Sandusky was the more physical team up front on both sides of the ball. Tiffin played tough and did have chances to win aided Sandusky's penalties. It was said that the Blue Streaks gave TC two touchdowns. That may be true but it is something that will be a constant theme all season and needs to be corrected. If not, it can't be an excuse Obviously, Tiffin gave them two TDs as well. The muffed punt was huge and I believe the pass was forwards. The QB threw the ball from he 21 yd line and the receiver was closer to the 22 with the ball a tad in front of him. It was close though. I bet the official realized he made a mistake because Columbian's coach deserved and probably wanted an unsportsmanlike penalty. All he got was a sideline warning which was not the correct call.
Also, is #17 Sandusky's third string QB? I realize that #11 played QB earlier in the year after the starter was injured. But he did play defense and I did not notice any limitations. The young Franklin played well (including his kicking). I may be most impressed with his hustle on TC's long kickoff return.

From my take of the game, Sandusky is their own worst enemy this season. Penalties like what they’ve shown the last few weeks will take them right out of the game against Norwalk. Quite frankly if they don’t clean it up they don’t deserve that win anyway. Tiffin is a quality team and will win at least 3 more games I think. Their QB is solid.

Henery was the back up, but was injured playing QB against Mansfield. We can’t afford to lose him on defense, so decision was made to remove him from QB
