It’s all good from my stand point. You’ll have to knock on oak harbors door and see if they answer

it all comes out in the wash, most of the bay and lake teams are in the same playoff region. PC may not want Clyde in the regular season, but hey their prize for scheduling to make the playoffs could be a first round game with the Fliers.
So at some point I am sure these teams will see each other again.

If new league would be created, who in the right mind would include Clyde and Bellevue? They cry and wine about anything and everything. If they don’t like the way things are going, let them go and see if the grass is greener somewhere else. I bet it won’t be.

let me ask this Norwalk St Paul and Monroeville travel 3 hours to play a scheduled volleyball matchup on a saturday... and they like it, they see nothing wrong with it.. so why does football cry? told them how to fix the problem.. schedule what crossovers you get in weeks 4 and 5.. its easier to find weeks 1-3

The Bay teams avoid Clyde like they are Lakewood St Ed or something.

The volleyball teams might complain if they got back to school at 2am. Just saying...🤗

Clyde plays perennial national power Toledo Scott next season in place of Belmont.😋 If it was the Toledo Scott of last year they may have gotten some decent points

Another problem is that some of the cross over games that are happening are in weeks 1-3 which still leaves the gaps in weeks 4-5.

You may find the answer. we just got done playing perkins..the gate wasn't all that...they had alot of empty seats on both sides.. a pair of 1 loss team, back yard rivals... 1999 team coming back.. yes there was chance of rain.. so im not sold the gates would be all that

Is it just me or is attendance at football games dropping off? Seems like there's a lot of empty seats anymore..

let me ask this Norwalk St Paul and Monroeville travel 3 hours to play a scheduled volleyball matchup on a saturday... and they like it, they see nothing wrong with it.. so why does football cry The logistics are completely different Compare transporting 15ish girls and a handful of coachees to 50ish football players and equipment, 100+ band kids and equipment, 10 or so cheerleaders and the associated coaches and directors of each group. Not to mention the significantly larger number of parents and fans that are inconvenienced by long trips. Plus, unlike volleyball... Every game represents 10% of the entire season Every home game represents anywhere from 16-25% of your entire chance to raise funds from the gate & concessions, and the numbers you get can be greatly affected by the fickle weather. how does that solve Clyde's problem? it'd sure as hell be better than the gates you get for teams from the TCL and freaking Dayton. Would you rather have the visitor gate Perkins had last week against Huron, or the visitor gate Huron had week 1 against East Tech?

kritz toledo scott is a lot worse than belmont. clyde can call off the wolves early against scott next year.scott played rogers last night and the score was 8-3 rogers leading and the game was called late first half because of all personal fouls and unsportsmanlike conduct against both teams. the refs brought the head coaches to mid field and told them the game was over. if i was clyde AD, i would take scott off the schedule not because of easy game but because they might be undisclipined.

When the SBC Lake would not accept Fremont, they no longer have a leg to stand on when insisting Bay schools should schedule them

When the SBC Lake would not accept Fremont, they no longer have a leg to stand on when insisting Bay schools should schedule them why do you say that about turning down a move that would have actually made the scheduling worse for both the Lake and Bay than it is right now?

Lake schools don't want to play a larger school, but they insist smaller schools play them??

Kritz, You're right that weeks 4 and 5 are harder to find than weeks 1-3.....but it's weeks 6-10 that are the absolute worst. If you bump the Lake up to 7 teams by adding Ross alone, you then have 5 teams that have to deal with finding OOC games in weeks 6-10. And those Bay schools that actually do want to play crossovers with the Lake in Weeks 4 and 5? Well now it's only possible for 2 of those games to even be played, with only one Lake school available in each of those 2 weeks. I'd argue that it's actually easier to find two games in weeks 4 and 5 (especially with all 18 Lake, Bay and TCL teams looking for games at the same time) than it is to just find one game in weeks 6-10.

The SBC powers to be have no BALLS. Accept Fremont, move Vermilion where they belong and you have ZERO scheduling problems for "big schools".

Accept Fremont, move Vermilion where they belong and you have ZERO scheduling problems for "big schools". ...while creating a whole crap load of scheduling problems for what would then be a 5 team Bay Division (where everyone would get both the weeks 4-5 problem and the random bye in weeks 6-10 problem) and then if/when Vermilion says screw this and finds a new league you end up with both divisions having an odd number of teams. Brilliant.

Brilliant. . A few teams in the lake could give a rats butt about the well being of teams in the bay. Willard and vermilion are on life support. I said it from day one. This cross over gig is not going to work. And the principals can ball their eyes out kick and scream at these meetings all they want our teams are not at their level. It is what it is. I don’t expect any of the River teams to play the bay. So appreciate what bay teams play the lake.

Look out for Vermilion to jump from the SBC to the new Lorain County League. Could happen if they keep getting pushed around on and off the field.

Short-term fix: Both the OCC and MOAC schedule non-con from weeks 4-10. Take Fremont and figure out the logistics there. There, now Shelby doesn't have to play LCC.

Now that the SBC is down to 18 football schools they can break into 2 Divisions. Lake (10 teams) and River (8).
The MAC (the best football conference in Ohio) has 10 members and then they go on to win 2 or 3 State Titles every year so any complaints about not getting enough computer points is an invalid complaint.
Lake 340 D3 Sandusky 337 D3 Tiffin Columbian 320 D3 Norwalk 264 D4 Perkins 257 D4 Clyde 255 D4 Bellevue ----- Bumped up into Lake 242 D4 Port Clinton 211 D4 Edison 210 D4 Huron 204 D5 Oak Harbor
Sent down to the River for rehab 251 D4 Vermilion 178 D5 Willard If Willard or Vermilion get it turned around the SBC should have in place a mechanism that bumps them up to the Lake and bumps down another weak sister that needs rehab in the River.
Willard spent the last 2 years in the River and was just middle of the pack and would be near the end of the pack this year. So it's not like dropping the weak sisters (Willard & Vermilion) down into the River means that the River gets shellacked.
