I'm thinking Truckers will make the Pirates walk the plank.

While I don’t think Perkins will win this game or make the playoffs, I am rooting for RB Tai Carter to reach his goal of a 1,000 yards rushing this season. He only needs 264 more yards in the next 3 games to do this. He was stuck with the linemen in 5th and 6th due to his size, but has always been the fastest and most athletic lineman at Perkins. He was in my sons grade and remember watching him running the ball when the boys played flag football in the younger grades. I also remember Crabtree putting him in the backfield for a couple of plays vs Margaretta in 8th grade, probably the most excited I have ever seen him. Perkins has not had a 1,000 yard RB since 2015 when Tyrique Sharpe did it. 3 tough opponents ahead in Norwalk, TC, and Sandusky. Keeping my fingers crossed hoping things go his way.

Does Ziegler survive after this season?

Does Ziegler survive after this season? That’s a good question. The parents are definitely not happy. Had a short, but candid conversation with the Perkins booster club Vice President yesterday. He’s blamed the parents from day one, especially those who moved their kids to get away from Zeigler. Caught him driving by my house yesterday and shaking his head in disgust at my St. Paul football banners, so I cold called him, asked him what all the head shaking was about. He did not like that. He asked me why I had my banners up in Perkins Township I don’t even live in Norwalk and basically said I was trying to rub it in everybody’s face, and why do you even send your kids to a Catholic school you’re not even Catholic. Creepy stuff like that, out of left field. 🔪🔪🔪 psycho right. While me and this guy were friendly in the past we are definitely not friends now that’s become apparent. I should also mention that this guy is regarded by many as the town drunk, so what he says isn’t always what he means. Zeigler is the problem, he likes to teach his players to be bullies, and has openly stated as much in many Sandusky register articles. The problem is when things start to go bad for the Pirates the players, mostly the upperclassman, turn that bully mentality onto the younger kids which is what is happening now. These are some of the reasons I pulled my kids out of this district. All the high school politics for a child’s game? Come on mannn, Really? football is just a game that kids play. I still talk to a couple of parents from the senior and junior class at Perkins and they are basically saying it’s a bad situation right now but everything was fine when they were winning. I don’t think 3-7 is good enough to keep him around, but last year I thought back to back 2-8 seasons should’ve got him canned. This guy is either immoral, or ignorant to the immoral activities that have went on in his program in the past couple years, both are unacceptable. There are some good coaches on staff so a complete house cleaning is not needed just a select few need to go. Will Perkins fire him, I have my doubts and was proven wrong when they didn’t fire him after last year. We’ll have to wait and see.

The point remains why escalate a situation? Smile laugh and walk away knowing that you’re living rent free in their heads.

In hindsight yes that would have been the better option, but I really had no clue he harbored such resentment. Hell, we were just laughing it up at a Perkins game last year, after I moved my son. Our kids are friends for Pete’s sake, and I thought we were as well, but obviously not. I’ll know what to do in the future with any former Perkins acquaintance, good advice.

I dont know about all that ^^^ but Perkins student sections seem to bring it every week. Whether its football, volleyball, basketball, track, cc whatever. They are always hyped for their classmates and their team. Win or lose the camaraderie they have is impressive from what ive experienced. They always play their hearts out, whatever the sport. From my perspective someone is doing something right over there. IMO.

Doubt it.

Doubt it. Over high school football? Really, a kids game. If someone is that petty to end a friendship for that reason, then it’s not a person I want to associate myself with anyway. Got anywhere from 3-5 close friends and their families from Perkins that attend every NSP Saturday game, they get it, it shouldn’t be that serious.

Congrats to the Truckers for clinching a playoff spot. To be honest, I think they clinched last week, but Eitel is conservative to give that status on Week 7, so he uses "control own destiny."

The last 2 weeks, Stumpf and Maloney with nearly 900 yards rushing and boatload of TDs. Needless to say, the running game is getting more lethal by the moment. That with a solid QB and receiving core.
