The fans are waiting for Willard to go all in on Soccer. As I've told you guys before funds have been set aside to expand the stands of the bag of bones football field once the football team goes away and it becomes known as the Willard Soccer Stadium. It's going to be a massive Soccer Stadium much bigger and cooler than the Big Red Stadium in Steubenville. I wouldn't be surprised if Willard gets 15,000 fans a match as not only are Willard fans going to be showing up in mass the surrounding communities are going to come watch Willard Soccer. The Program is going to be that good. Move ins will be starting in 4th grade as parents will have to quickly move to Willard before all houses and apartments are sold out. Housing prices are going to sky rocket in the City of Blossoms. All it takes is disbanding the football program for good. We are so close to the coolest thing any of us has ever seen.

What Champions look like. The Willard Champion Flashes Soccer Team. Any boys in Willard that want to be Champions know which team is a team of Champions. Now the rest of the boys in the school need to join the Willard Champion Soccer Train, because the future is going to be fantastic. I've worn my Flashes Soccer wristband proudly for months, available at Wired Coffee House in Willard only $1.00!

SF, you seem to know a lot about Willard and have some inside scoop and into the politics here. I know this is a little off topic but I've asked around and no one can tell me this so I'm asking a person with connections. Willard has a renewal levy on the ballot in a couple weeks asking the taxpayers to continue to annie up and there was a flyer that was circulated about what that 1.8 million would be going to. The flyer was very vague and what stood out was 400k for the arts and 280k or so for athletics. are they planning on building a new PAC with that 400k a year because when i look at their spending i see them build a new board office that wasn't needed, i'm sure that was couple hundred thousand and now they have put brand new siding on an old bus garage that was supposed to be taken out of commission after they spent another 200-300k on a new bus garage. looking for some answers so I can make the right decision on election day.

I believe the bus garage was 750K. Ouch. WHAT! Are you serious? So, if that is the case we spent 750k on a bus garage AND STILL are using the old one and have to throw more money into that old one to side it for what reason? If it cost 750k for that new bus garage and we still have to use the old one, somethings wrong with this picture. I'm all for doing what is right for the student body and teachers but to me this throwing money out the window.

“this is a renewal levy. Normally, I think they were 5 years, but now new laws said you can extend them to 10 I believe and that's what they are trying to do.
As far as the money, it's not for a PAC.....they are trying to show that's where some of the money is spent that they bring in, which is legit. the money for board office I would assume came out of the permanent improvement account.
Schools get money from the state every year for upgrades. This comes from the state, not local money. **Bus garage was from leftover money from when the school was built, just like football field.**
Bottom line, It's just a renewal of money that we have been getting for a longer period of time.”

The $$$ left over from when the school was built was used for the bus garage and the football field. If they are still using and remodeling the old bus garage, why build new unless they needed to use the $$$ within a certain number of years from completion of the new school. there was nothing wrong with the old board office, why not use the money for something that would help the kids, new weight room or PAC upgrades (we know we needed that more than a new board office). i sure wish they would have asked for input from the public on what they thought that extra money left over could have been better used for.
