Anytime a kid has a parent coaching at a different school there's a chance he might go there. Also he's told kids from Galion he wants to. Talk to the boys coach at Upper Sandusky if you want to put odds on the chance it happens. Most kids would tell others they would enjoy playing for their Dad. Since his entire career has been at Lucas, I hope he stays. I think he stays at Lucas too. I just said there's a chance he comes to Galion.

Fixing Galion isn’t about a transfer or a varsity coach. It starts with a youth program in the 5th and 6th grade. Then 7-9th grade coaches who stress fundamentals and build on what the previous year’s coach implemented. Then 3-4 years of patience.

Correct and Galion has none of that. Too much dysfunction. Hmmm, kind of sounds like the Cleveland Browns.

Without getting into a kid's personal life on here I can 100% guarantee you that this will not happen.

Basketball is simply not a priority here. It never really has been. Our last conference title was in 1973(?). It's the same for the girls. If our best athletes all played the sport we'd be fine. They don't. This is a football/volleyball town for the most part when it comes to where our best athletes choose to participate. In the spring they come out for track/baseball/softball. I don't know where they go in the winter.

In a world today where every kid gets a trophy and most parents want to see that kid get that trophy, you have to think if they were any good they would be playing. Can we assume they are just not very good? Uh...…..no.

If you are correct watching seasons with records of 3-20 8-15, 8-15 and 2-21 would be very difficult knowing your school had better basketball players than what was on the floor.

I guess we'll never know. For you and I it doesn't matter. The kids are the ones losing an opportunity. I guess they will never know.

What ever happened to Logan Houle? Who I thought was going to play for Ontario at one point or something? I’m not sure. Went to Oak Hill’s B team and came back. Heard he was in a detention center some. Did he ever end up playing high school basketball again?

He played for Ontario the 2nd half of his Soph year, after transferring from Oak Hill Academy. The rest of his story is a train wreck. Never played again. A shame, he could have been a very good 6-5 guard/forward.

He was in a no win situation before he left Crawford. It's a fact that he was in a terrible situation, but he chose not to "win". Many overcome similar situations, due to choices made.
