There are plenty of D1 guards who are not 6’. That barometer is laughable.

There is a big difference between D3 and D2, D1 and NAIA. D3 CANNOT offer athletic scholarship money. They will make every attempt to bring down the cost however 4 years of college is not cheap. so the difference is significant However D1,D2 and NAIA CAN offer up to FULL tuition to a student athlete. I've seen D3 schools reduce their tuition by 90%. I agree it's not a scholarship but call it what ever you want. It happens because they want that athlete at their school. 100% accurate and if you don't play, you don't get that "tuition-aid".

Streaks beat Lex 81-68. Tahj with 52. Had a 3 hit off front rim at the end of the game that would’ve gave him the single game scoring record.

Freaking amazing for tahj.i knew the kid could hoop when we went against him in 5th and 6th grade but obviously he's gotten a lot better. Haha. How'd Dylan play. He played aau with Cooper and Skeeter this past summer.he can shoot it but not as dynamic as tahj but still a good player

He’s usually top 3 in scoring on the team.

It seems to me that going for the record, and not burying Lex, almost got the Streaks in trouble. Nonetheless, heckuva performance last night by the young man.

Finals from tonight. Sandusky 91 Clyde 60 Tiffin 57 Perkins 56 OT Bellevue 44 Vermilion 43Norwalk bye week Jaden Cook did not play for Clyde. Probably their best player. With that said, I don't think it would have made a difference. !!!!

Redmen beat the Sailors by about the same score the 1st time. No real surprise this go-around. As WF said, someone had to win and perhaps ugly.

The Lake is really bad this year frankly I think it is somewhat of an anomaly...Bellevue will get better, as will Perkins and both TC and Clyde should be much better next season. Sandusky is well Sandusky and Norwalk has a couple more years before the cupboard goes bare...

Would not be surprised if Gray retires after next year.

That what be good karma. Long time good coaching friends retire at the same time. I believe Balogh retires after next season as well, but I've been wrong about that before.

On a side note: Clyde will play their final 8 games in 18 days😬😧. I believe Cook is out for awhile maybe rest of season. But I seen Lozier played last night and I thought he was out for the entire season so who really knows.

If Columbian wins at Vermilion on Friday (seems like a solid idea, even with Vermilion beating Clyde last night), it will be Columbian's first five-game winning streak since the 2009-2010 season. Columbian won five straight from 2/13 - 3/1 in 2010.
If Columbian beats Vermilion AND Port Clinton this weekend (I have seen PC. Columbian will win that one barring a major upset), it will be Columbian's first six-game winning streak since the 1995-1996 season. Columbian won six straight from 2/9 - 2/24 in 1996. That is crazy. Six games is not even THAT long.

Well, if one is extremely focused on Football in Jan/Feb, 6-game winning streak can be monumental.

Back to the Lake Norwalk without Haraway which many folks thought would set Norwalk back in a big way... sit at 7-1 and 11-6 with all their goals in front of them. They also lost close games to Shelby (should’ve won) and Huron (led late) and other than a tough loss to Ashland are right where I thought they would be. A couple of bad losses to Willard an Sandusky are the only major blemishes on their resume. Win or lose vs Sandusky and Lex they are a good team that will still go into the tournament as a dangerous opponent...

But as you just stated, they’ve lost to the good teams they played, including blowout losses to Willard and Sandusky.

Haraway was the only reason they won last season but those 6 or 7 were getting varsity playing time on a regional team. The bigger question could be why do they have 6 loses already as one of the most veteran teams in the area.
