Not surprised on this win. This was more expected than a bounce back. Bellevue basketball has hit rock bottom. Not a win to get to excited about. I can't believe that a HS team struggles to score as much as they have by reading the scores on here. is there any hope of a turnaround in the near future? with that said, I haven't seen Clyde yet... how do they look so far, all I know is from the articles in the paper.

I think it's time Coach Rich suits up himself.

Hard to believe that a team had a closer game than expected against their rival without a player who had been averaging 28 a game? Eh if you say so. I say this was a gutty performance by Sandusky. As far as Staveskie, I’m not sure. Haven’t really heard how bad the ankle was. I don’t expect he will play against Bellevue this week either.

He warmed up before the game but didn’t play. The newspaper said they were also without Noah Caston and Dylon Jones didn’t play much in the 4th quarter because of a leg cramp.

Perkins lost to lowly Margaretta, were down to Willard by 30 at the half, lost to the other Lake teams above them (Norwalk & TC) by an average of 20... Call it what you will I hope Staveskie gets better soon rival I get, but they are not very good period.

Sandusky has walked thru everyone aside from Cleveland Glenville. They beat Norwalk by 26 missing Tahj for half the game. Perkins came in chewed up clock and made some shots. It happens in HS basketball.

Staveskie wasn’t the only missing player. And as I said, Perkins is a rival. It happens. Sandusky won. That’s what matters. 7 or 30 is irrelevant. Perkins milked clock and executed enough on offense to keep the game close. Sandusky has their first real slip up. But they won. Norwalk struggled with a 3 win TC team last year. Norwalk ended just fine.

Caston is out for a couple of weeks. Jones should be good for tonight. Sandusky probably thought showing up was enough last night. Can’t create bad habits tho.

The fact that Perkins has lost by double digits in half their games this season playing inferior teams to Sandusky does make it a relevant conversation when Sandusky cannot beat them by more than 6. Even without Staveskie. But you are correct it's a win and that is what matters. But the final score does make it worthy of a small conversation.

The final score of last year's TC/Norwalk games (all 3) does not negate the fact Norwalk struggled against TC for 95% of the games. They were all close til the end.

Norwalk played many games close last season until the end when the margin widened. Don’t forget the ball was always in Haraway’s hands and he was over 70% from the foul line and even better when he needed to be.

See how that works? The Perkins game is only relevant to people looking to paint a certain picture of Sandusky. And my bad. TC won FOUR games, not the THREE I mentioned. 🙄 And Sandusky just beat Norwalk by 26. So I’m not really sure that they are worried about only beating Perkins by 6 (it was a 10 point game with 2 mins remaining)

The original comment was in regards to Perkins hanging with Sandusky even without Staveskie. That is just as much about Sandusky as it is Perkins. I replied to the initial statement with my own observation/opinion. Then when the follow up comment is about all these other teams beating Perkins by double digits, it’s clear a point was being made about Sandusky’s performance, no? But I’m done commenting on the Perkins game. I don’t particularly care to sit on here and argue high school sports. Currently Sandusky is up 41-27 at half over Bellevue. Staveskie is sitting out this one as well.
