Thank you for sharing that on here, I do not view the N-10 stuff. Did not know Willard was interested in leaving the Bay League, The N-10 would be a better fit for them. We wish them well.

Better fit? For what? Soccer? tennis? Basketball? They would of been 1-9 this year in football. Which is what they finished in the SBC. Kinda makes one wonder who had the article in the newspaper published? Willard?

Why would the N10 add one or both of these schools? They are currently at 8 schools which is the ideal number for a league.

Answer for the above..... The name of their league is N- 10. They'd have to get new banners for the gyms and have new stationary printed.

Not really surprised by Willard's interest. Having sat on the committee, as a community member, a few years ago when Willard was exploring leaving the NOL and joining the SBC, it was discussed then to reevaluate the schools situation in a few years and determine if there is a better fit in a different conference.

As sad as it may sound, Willard should be in the firelands conference.

typically I'd say yes, eight is the perfect number for a league. But with the 8-man thing on the horizon I might take my chances on adding two more teams to guard against one or more leaving for that. I don't know, I'm not sure there's a good answer at the moment. The SBC River I suspect is going to have some sort of opening, maybe multiple.

Crestline district should soon be absorbed by Galion and Colonel Crawford and maybe even Ontario.
Willard is hunting for a league they can win in all sports. What if there isn't one?

[b Galion and Crestline will only merge if the state makes them. If that happens, then Bucyrus and Wynford would probably merge, which would really screw up the N 10. For lots of reasons, I can not see the other N 10 schools wanting either school

What I could see is the Crestline district being divided into pieces by location and added to other districts. Ontario and Colonel Crawford make the most sense but Galion could be a part of it.

The state of Ohio does not force schools to merge or consolidate

Just put Willard back in the River where they belong for the team and players sake. They can just take Danbury spot.

Heard Willard wanted the N10 few weeks ago due to Lakota balking on moving up a division as the flashes reluctantly did.

How many schools in the N10 have soccer, tennis, swimming, and bowling? Would Willard have to play an independent schedule in those sports?

How many schools in the N10 have soccer, tennis, swimming, and bowling? Would Willard have to play an independent schedule in those sports? This is exactly why Willard should not leave the SBC. But decisions made in Willard have never been what is best. So many other sports are better off in the SBC and Football wouldn’t win in any conference in the area. Willard Girls tennis has won SBC three years in a row. Now leave for a conference that doesn’t even have tennis. No thank you!

Some leagues require every school to have a sport before they crown a league champ. It was a quick count I made for those sports so those numbers may not be 100% certain.

The N10 requires 50% participation for a sport, in order to be recognized for a league championship. If your numbers are accurate, some of the teams must be club, not school, sponsored. (soccer, tennis, bowling)

I don't think any of the 5 teams got anything out of playing them, only a couple points nothing except Vermillion. Maybe easier pick up someone else. Or force them to to one crossover game.

Or force them to to one crossover game. Against whom? The Bay needs to have one crossover with the Lake and one maybe with the River would solve some of the scheduling.
