Clyde got noticeably better every game since week 1. Kids that buy in and continue to improve plus IMO the best HS football coach in the area can lead to amazing things. Clyde left no doubt they were the best team in D4 at the end of the year. They 100% completely dominated the entire games against Wyoming and LV. Outscored those two combined 27-0 teams 77-28 and 7 of those 28 barely should count. My community is gonna enjoy this one!

I mentioned in another thread that I was not sold on the WBL's strength this year, or in recent years in general. This helps push the tide of power in the Northwest Ohio region closer to north central Ohio.

This helps push the tide of power in the Northwest Ohio region closer to north central Ohio. Thinking maybe OHSAA will pay more attention to this North Central Ohio? D4 seems to get little attention. Clyde's win just may have put this area on the map, especially if the SBC is as strong next year. This years football was some of the best games ever IMO. Way to Clyde!

With my daughter teaching at Clyde I joined her at the Shelby, Wyoming, and state title games. I was very impressed with Clyde's physicality, their coaching adjustments, and how once they smelled blood their players went for the throat and never let up. Neither Wyoming nor Licking Valley could hang with Clyde physically. The Wyoming kid winning Mr Football was a travesty. Our region was head and shoulders better than any of the other 3. I think that at least 3 teams out of out region could have won had they survived. I don't think either of Clyde's final 2 opponents could have won the MOAC and would have gotten absolutely waxed had they played Clyde's schedule. But great job Fliers!! It's very rare, regardless of circumstances, that a 4 loss 8 seed can manage to pull it together and play at that level for 5 consecutive weeks against state level competition. That was a special thing that we just witnessed.

It's too bad that Oak Harbor doesn't play at Clyde in boys basketball, That would've been the appropriate time to honor the 2019 State Championship football team.

Let that go !, I said this before .That there is a Clyde coach on the Clyde Football staff who tried to ruin two seniors who transferred to Oak Harbor from being able to play and who also harassed their father on social media and was suspended for two games for doing so by the Clyde board. This coach is very lucky to be even teaching at Clyde let alone Coach there.Them boys and Team from Oak Harbor had one heck of a run .Now if this was the other way around and Clyde lost and Oak Harbor won you more than likely would be saying cheaters . That family was checked out by the OHSAA and was decided it was legit why them boys transferred...Game over and congratulations to Clyde on their second state title .Ps any questions ask their father.

I wonder if they now have even an ounce of regret for their “transfer”. I mean, the thought that you could’ve been a state champion in football would have to knaw at them even if just for a little bit. Maybe not, but it’d be hard to not let that thought cross your mind.
