clyde i like to congrat you on a great season and hope you win the state d-4 title.but im a little angry about a big media newspaper in northwest ohio called the Toledo Blade that has covered oak harbor in the playoffs but not clyde.thats called bias.clyde is in northwest ohio and is only 5 miles from fremont ,whom the blade covers, sandusky county is in your area of coverage although the blade denies it.step up blade because wtol had highlights of the clyde- wyoming game and hopefully wtol will have highlights of the clyde state title game.the sandusky register and tiffin a-t will be there.and if clyde wins the state, then ill say shame on you toledo blade!!!

oh but they did.back in 1976 they did have a little article on edison beating black river 7-0 in the game of the year in the firelands conference and they had edison rated in their football polls.in 1974 i was a correspondent for edison basketball which included 6 newspapers i called including the Toledo blade.thats when the blade was realgood and had erie county teams covered.nut then later they cut out erie and huron counties out of their coverage area.but as of late your right they sucks.but go clyde win the state title and show the blade that sandusky county deserves the coverage as the fremont messenger is plain awful.

Do they sell the Toledo Blade in Clyde or surrounding communities? I'm not sure the Blade would cover them even at the state title game.

Papers are shrinking and so is their coverage. The Blade struggles to cover the 2 Division I college athletic programs in their backyards who have websites with stats, pictures, interviews and video yet still cannot get the very information they provide for the media published consistently in any papers.
Not to throw out insults but if you haven’t subscribed or bought a newspaper on a daily basis you might have missed this slow moving media crash. Buying a paper on Saturday or Sunday morning hoping for coverage is a waste of your time and money.

You think they give a shat about Mansfield Senior or Lucas?? I guarantee no one is whining about it.

I see I had a typo, instead of "Mansfield are", it should have been <Mansfield area>. In that case "ton" = 100's. I know this as I've been in communication with the MNJ(who also delivers the Dispatch) over delivery issues I've been having.

Who reads actual newspapers anymore? I read A LOT online, but am one of those who can afford the exorbitant charge, for what little there is anymore. Due to still enjoying holding and reading the news with my morning cup of coffee. AH... the small price one pays for life's pleasures.

sharon,i remember that year i graduated from edison(milan) that year and i read all about him.he was the 6-10 center. i was the edison correspondent in 1973-1974 for the blade and 5 other newspapers.ive been reading the blade since the early 70s.i/ graduated when edison was in the firelands conference,so i have loyalties to the firelands conference and sbc.i was pulling for oak harbor in the playoffs and i will root for cklyde in their state title game.

Everyone that loves High school football in Ohio knows Clyde is going for a State Title . Honestly who cares about the Blade and Toledo news .. Clyde has been in all the papers around and on all 3 and more news channels including Cleveland . After they win the Div 4 State title they will get more .
