A thread for some of the basketball out farther west in the northwest district
Some early season headlines: - Convoy Crestview are the the defending state champions and return 2021 Ohio State commit Kalen Etzler but have lost their first 2 games thus far - Toledo Start will be traveling to San Diego over winter break for a tournament - Cardinal Stritch and Oakland commit Joey Holifield will run the TAAC and have one of the toughest schedules around in non-conference - Parkway looks to be dark horses in the MAC - Toledo Rogers is lead by D1 recruits Ketaan Wyatt and Jamiya Neal and look to be a threat to area programs come tournament time

- Cardinal Stritch and Oakland commit Joey Holifield will run the TAAC and have one of the toughest schedules around in non-conference Any chance Toledo Christian can get them, or at least give them a game? I saw TC beat D4 runners-up Berlin Hiland to open the season.

I saw TC beat D4 runners-up Berlin Hiland to open the season. TC can definitely give them a game, they can hang with the best teams. Stritch's schedule just gives them more tough games to be ready to take on TC. Although, last year TC caught Stritch on a bad day beat them by 1 so we'll see.

Haven't heard when he'll be back. Other than Etzler, they have minimal varsity experience. Rogers has as much talent as any D2 team in the state. Very deep with a lot of length. Da'Sean Nelson is the top player for the Rams. D1 prospect who will likely go the prep school or juco route.

I saw TC beat D4 runners-up Berlin Hiland to open the season. Watched Toledo Christian play Hiland last Friday and was really impressed by TC. Hiland has two starters back along with a couple of other kids that played a lot down at the state tournament last year so they'll be decent. Stritch is a work in progress at this point with three transfers in their top six. Once they figure out their roles, they'll be very good and could get back to Columbus.

Rogers seems to be running things so far
Stritch not playing too hot and TC playing really well
Evergreen also looks pretty as NWOAL starts up

OG and Shawnee play this Friday. And, the following night, Shawnee will take on the Findlay Trojans which should be a good game. Lately, it's been a combination of OG, Shawnee, Findlay, and Lima Senior going at it.

What's been the biggest surprise to me is little Antwerp. They must have a solid team going to be undefeated

Ontario over Norwalk on teams to watch? Must be simply records based.

Man, the WBL has been extremely impressive this year. Always been competitive, but this year's taking the cake.

Shawnee ain't losing to Bath. Ha!
Btw, with Huron full game out, Tigers don't control own destiny. They're done playing OH and Willard.

Technically Rogers hasn’t won the TCL. They recognize the winner of the 4 team playoff

Welp. With many NWO teams left standing it seems as if the this year will go with the sands of time as there will be no more tournaments
