Upper apparently playing good enough to win by 9. Maybe Ontario not shooting it well because of Upper’s defense. Or Upper just has more players who can handle the pressure of a big game on a big stage. Winning this time of the season is by players making plays under the pressure of playing in a District final. No. It was more an Ontario loss than it was an Upper win. Upper kept giving the ball away, but Ontario just couldn't make a bucket. Ontario got the wide open looks that they wanted. Upper is not the team they were earlier this year. Upper moves on. Ontario bows out at 17-7 The same thing happened to every team Upper played this year. No one played their best ball against them. Very strange.

Definitely question holding the ball with a minute to go but Loney wanted to call a TO but we dribbled into a defender who stole it. Fouled. Norwalk makes one of two. Shelby rushes up the floor. Same player who turned it over the first time dribbles across half court but throws it backwards to Pugh who hasn’t crossed the line yet. Over and back. Feel awful for this kid as he was a spark plug all year and hate to see his senior year end like that. I know he feels terrible. But it honestly shouldn’t have gotten to that point. Ill advised shots in the third quarter and we didn’t get others involved like in the first half. Completely out-rebounded all night. And when they did foul Norwalk, they didn’t miss. I believe they missed two all night. They deserved the win. Nice first year for Loney and a lot of pieces coming back. Much further run next year should be expected.

Norwalk was 22 for 24 from the free throw. Shelby was 1 for 4. I knew it was a large discrepancy. Not blaming the officials at all as Shelby’s aggressive defense lead to a lot of those. I will say I thought there was contact at both ends but wasn’t consistently called. Again outcome not determined by officials.

Uppers bigs dominated inside and great perimeter defense stopped warriors cold. Norwalk's bugs dominated inside against smaller shelby. If final game called like ontario game was, upper wins by double digits. If called like shelby game norwalk has a shot. But think upper is overall better team with better overall defense and better offense.

Congrats to Upper and Coach Winslow on their tournament run, minus two and possibly three starters now, but I like Norwalk in this one.

Yes a lot of pieces coming back next year, but a lot of problems also which you stated in your comments, didn't get other players involved, rebounding, along with poor defenses player. To many me players, not team, and gee who fault is that!!

Everyone seems to forget that this was the kids first season under a young coaching staff. And they were counted out from day 1 due to lack of player experience and coaching experience..

I can’t say that I have ever seen someone play for the last shot at the end of the game when they are down. If you don’t make that shot there is no time to get a steal or foul to try to get the ball back for another chance.
