Willard by 10 because they have the best player. Parrot can take over a game by himself and I don’t think Huron can match firepower between parrot and Balridge.

We should best Huron by 20. No kidding.

When Willard football is really good, you can bet on the basketball team being great. When Willard football stinks, it tells you nothing about Willard basketball because Willard stinks at Football and is good at basketball. 3-7 1981 Football 26-1 1981-82 Basketball - Final 4 Team 3-6-1 1983 Football 25-2 1983-84 Basketball - Final 4 Team 4-6 2000 Football 24-2 2000-01 Basketball - Final 4 Team Now when Willard wins Titles in Football 7-2-1 1979 Football 26-1 1979-80 Basketball - Final 4 Team 11-1 1990 Football 20-1 1990-91 Basketball - AP #1, Beat eventual State Champs Lex 8-2 1991 Football 21-5 1991-92 Basketball - Lost in OT in Elite 8 10-2 1999 Football 22-3 1999-00 Basketball - Lost in Regionals

No kidding. 1st off Willard is a very good team, but one could argue who have they really played up to this point. There best win is against upper sandusky who played without vent the entire 2nd half. If he plays that 2nd half outcome most likely would of been different. The win against norwalk is there 2nd best win but norwalk is way down by there recent standards. Other than that, the other teams to this point they should of beat down the way they did. Carey was without stone for the 1st half and was playing there 3rd game in 4 days to start there season. Willard is the favorite right now to get to regionals but there are a couple other teams that could just as easy come out of that district as well. A lot of hoops left to go. A lot can happen. Should find out a little more about willard against huron.

Should find out a little more about willard against huron. Really, did you proofread this post before hitting the "create post" button? First of all, we are going to learn alot more about Huron than Willard in this game. Willard has 2 quality wins, 1 in blowout fashion. Huron has 1 win that might qualify as a quality win (in OT). Say what you want about Vent not playing the 2nd half, Baldridge didn't play most of the 1st half due to foul trouble. It was on UPPER's home court!... .Norwalk on their home court! Willard was up on Carey by 30 at the half....without Stone. We expanded that lead by 13 in the 2nd half with Stone on the floor, and our 2nd team playing all of the 4th quarter. There is no other team in the District that can "easily" win it......NONE. Colonel Crawford has a nice team, they could beat Willard....but it wont be easy. Western Reserve has a good shooting team, they could beat Willard.....but it wont be easy. My bet, we find out Huron is not ready for Prime Time on Saturday!

OG and or Archbold are always good. Like St Henry and Marion Local--- Ottawa glandorf is 9-0 beating teams up like Willard is. My guess we'll see them in the regionals but there's a lot to take of before we get there. one game at a time. and there's goofy things that happen come tourney time. We have two of the best players in the area which are seniors and I've ALWAYS believed seniors will take you as far as you can.go flashes

If I’m not mistaken, Willard enters this game 25-1 in its last 26 games.

Would be nice to see a big crowd of Huron people at the game. Been a long while since Willard was playing as an undefeated team vs another undefeated team in a January game.

We are playing really well at home and that's why I'm saying a blowout but at Huron it could be single digits. Either way flashes have way to much. Go fkashes

Although they are excited about their record they also understand they schedule thus far has been very much in their favor.

Willard has had a couple games where they were challenged, Upper and Vent didn't play the 2nd half and Norwalk where Norwalk did a nice job 1st half staying with them but ran out of gas 2nd half. Looking at Willard's schedule I don't see too many teams on there that will even challenge them. I had thought Margaretta but with the post being out now, Willard by 20+ in that one as well. They will likely have an easy path to District Finals this year but once there they will be battle tested and if they make it to Regionals, we know records don't mean squat. Good to have a couple good years of Willard basketball being successful.

Just a "couple good years of Willard basketball"? Not a new era? Lets take one year at a time. There are a few kids in the lower grades that are decent but somehow a lot of kids weed out before high school. They will need to find a new identity next year.

I stated before, I think the schedule could have been a little more challenging this year. It scares me a little to see undefeated teams going into the tournament.

Next year, returning 3 of 5 starters, 4 of top 6, 6 of top 8. Losing 2 seniors which are our top 2 scorers, so scoring points may be an issue, but I think we'll be fine. A long ways away and we've got this season to enjoy. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.
