Rumor out of Bellevue is that four Redmen assistants are going with Santoro. This might have been answered but I’m just catching up. Which assistants? I heard Stamm is one of them. So that would mean both the passer and receiver of the last second TD that knocked Perkins out of the 2012 Regional Semi will be heading to the Pirates coaching staff.

How long will Perkins families settle for subpar football and basketball programs before looking elsewhere? Will this happen at all? I’ve heard more than one dyed in the wool Pirates express extreme frustration with these programs in the last two weeks, so I’m curious to know how far this frustration will go.

Perkins has some coaches on staff that are planning on staying so I believe there is some ignorant belief from lack of experience that all these buddies can come with.

Santork spent four years playing college football. I would assume he’s more than ready to take on a program. Young, energetic and knows the game. Might be the spark they need. It's one thing to play the game and another to coach it!

It's one thing to play the game and another to coach it! Most HS coaches have college playing experience. Only a few have real success

Whew. That was close. 11th hour "rallying the troops" to push this through tonight. It's clear most of Pirate Nation sees the writing on the wall. They'll have to give it a chance and try to be good soldiers.

They'll have to give it a chance and try to be good soldiers. I have heard the same thing. Sounds like the Super wants to restart other programs too?? also heard the AD resigned? can anyone confirm these? I do not foresee this going well, but you never know, and for Perkins sake, I hope it does go well. However a young coach, bringing all his buddies along with him who are all young, not many quality veteran coaches left at Perkins... this spells disaster to me. Like I said, I hope my gut is wrong on this.

I believe everyone in Pirate Nation needs to be on board, and give this Coach the benefit of the doubt. He may surprise many.

3 of the coaches that came with Santoro are line guys. Bellevue will be more than ok in replacing them. I've heard Tommy Mygrant is coming back to coach Bellevue's offensive line so lots of experience returning to Redmen staff if that rumor is true.

AD has resigned, effective at end of the school year. Mr Boggs is pushing people around and out. Division in the district and community is underway. More of the same in Pirate land.

From what I understand, he wasn’t even aware they were hiring Santoro. I assume it’s a build up with that being the breaking point. Speaks volumes to a lot of the dysfunction being shared by everyone.

Sounds like a clownshow going on of that is indeed the case

Not sure if tommy coached anywhere since coaching Nick Bosa in FL or not. Great news if true as he was a hell of a line coach and full of energy.

Boggs is forcing Smith out as AD. Here’s the kicker, he’s forcing McVeigh out as well.

Boggs is forcing Smith out as AD. Here’s the kicker, he’s forcing McVeigh out as well. That's the word on the street. Someone mentioned McVeigh as possible AD but that makes little sense. Stroll was on the football search committee which tells me he's likely to come back as AD. D-y-s-f-u-n-c-t-i-o-n.

Some guy who has never run an Athletic Department before...at any level. From what I was told they had applicants with AD experience that did not get an interview. SMH.

Was the hire TS from Fremont? Heard that was his pick when it opened up. Stroll didn't apply.

Cheese oh Petes!
What is going on with the Perkins Athletics....?
Need to get back to some consistency.
I say Santoro's first year Pirates go 6-4.
Ive been looking into the pirates alittle more as of lately, they have a pretty talented kid going into 9th grade this year at QB, kid is big, good speed and can throw the ball. Future seems bright..?

There you go. Captain Jack's pick from before he forced Matt Smith out. He has fumbled all of this from the start. There will be ripples from the mishandlings...
