The girls tournament games at Shelby H.S. are on Thursday night, And Shelby plays Willard in Ashland, Also on Thursday night. That will likely be on WLKR 95.3. They normally won't have girls tournament games on the same night as boys, As the OHSAA continues to struggle with fan attendances. Appreciate it. I got my dates switched around thinking the Girls District was set to play tonight. Everything you said now makes perfect sense đź‘Ť.

For this year the DII Girls district moves from Galion to Ashland HS since Galion moves up to DII. Sectionals are played at Monroeville and Plymouth. Shelby 12-0 Bellevue 11-0 Willard 10-2 Perkins 7-2 Ontario 6-3 Lexington 4-5 Norwalk 4-8 Mansfield Sr 3-2 Clear Fork 3-9 Vermillion 1-8 Galion 0-10 Top heavy district with Bellevue, Shelby and Willard and then everyone else. How does Ashland win a bid to host a district with their terrible facilities? What makes Ashland Facilities terrible? They have a nice gym, enough seating, newer bleachers. Not sure what you want.

Poor total choice of words as part of my thought on facilities was location to the teams. If you are going to make some teams make a big trip if should be for a good or better place to play. But I would debate the gym being "nice", it's adequate. Do they even have 4 locker rooms? I went to games there in the past and heard big complaints from teams about the floor and the sharing of locker rooms.

Don't ask me how that works, but they must have something in place to make it work. My guess with 90% of the areas good gyms being in this district, its not that easy to find a gym. Madison would seem like a good spot but they host the boys. I'm not sure your left with a whole lot of options, mixed with who else bid for it? On a side note I saw the semifinals will be a split session tomorrow. They will clear the gym in between games.

Perkins and Willard (I think they'll beat Shelby this time) might have something to say about that. Can't let off the gas. it won't matter, Bellevue is going to run through this district. they have a giant chip on their shoulder now, it might get ugly for whoever they play. I like them to make it to the final 4 for sure

Wasn't able to make it, but listed on radio. Bellevue was up 40-28 early in the 3rd and then Perkins went a a run from pretty much then on.

Great game by Perkins, this might be the last best chance Bellevue would have had at a state run for a while.

Bellevue is on the war path, I truly believe they are going to run everyone off the court in the district. They are out to prove it. Will be an interesting district final

I like the Pir-ates in another hair pulling epic win over Willard Saturday. "weave our way to the title" hop on board Shannon Sharpe, it going to be one hell of a ride.

Shelby was up 42-37 after three then proceeded to lay an egg in the final eight minutes, hitting two free throws only. Multiple missed layups and had several turnovers. Plus they went into the triangle stall out top which I am not a fan of. Went on a nice run to end the third quarter then we took the air out of the ball. If you’re up double digits I can understand it. But don’t do it in a two possession game. Willard hit a couple 3’s to start the quarter then panic set in. Disappointing loss but a good game both ways. Future very bright in Shelby in hopes of making a run the next couple years.

I kinda questioned that stall also. Willard was tired. We also had at least one player sick and she got a breather.
I almost don’t wanna call it now,,, but we now have a really good shot at Regional Finals, as I think we beat Perkins -then the Elyria bracket is nothing special .
