With the bleachers all pushed in at Bellevue they must have almost 3 courts in there. Yep, or at least there are 3 baskets along each side. Not sure if all 3 courts are actually full width.

Ashland University's gym is awesome because the lights are turned down on the crowd. Makes the game seem much more like a stage, which is a nice little flair for a tournament environment.
Some of these other gyms are so bright I need to bring an umbrella to block out the sun.

Waite Fieldhouse watching a young man named Jimmy Jackson play in districts. I believe he was a freshman and I was a junior in HS. Realized how low level my game was quickly. Great old gym plus great talent on the floor. Tony Packos down the street too
Regional games at BGSU’s old Anderson Arena has best atmosphere

Lake also has bleachers behind each hoop. Nice gym, only two courts side to side however

I think my favorite gyms have been the ones I have seen the best games in. Old Pete Henry at Mansfield Sr was awesome when it was packed. The other gym is Canton Field house. When you get tournament games in there, and it gets loud and pack there might not be anything better in Ohio High school basketball.

Updated my list because I realized I added some new ones in volleyball and never added them on here. What gym haven't I been to that I really need to go see?

Looks like Margaretta put new bleachers up on their 1954 stage, And they display their nickname inside their gym more than anyone does. I guess they're called the Polar Bears.

Galion's old gym was great. It was one of the largest in the area and you could fit a lot of people in there. I remember back in the mid 90's it hosted Division I Girls Regionals with Sylvania Southview vs. Toledo St. Ursula and Pickerington vs. Findlay. It always have plenty of out of bounds area.

To anyone out there what are each gym capacity? Mr. Steel has counted every seat in just about all gyms of significance in this area.

AND in alphabetical order! Not Galion old and new? Just the new one. On my list if I didn't mention old or new it means it's the current one. I could technically say old and new for Bellevue, but I'm only counting old on this list if I was there when it was the main gym. Also, it's in alpha order because I copied and pasted jmorgret's list and then deleted all the ones I hadn't been to and added a couple others I have been to.

Was able to go to Ottawa Glandorf last year when they played Lima Senior. It was a triple-header and the place was packed before the end of the freshman game. Not sure what capacity is there but I would guess 2,300. Definite home court advantage, the way high school basketball should be.

I was just getting ready to ask if it was still called the Supreme Court. I remember early 2000s solid Ross B-ball teams took some punishment, no pun intended.
