You could see it coming in their scores and who they were losing to. Ashland was way better than one might think at 1-7 .

Get Norwalk out of the SBC and they're a .500 team.

Portwalk, did Norwalk have kids out against Ashland? Was a little surprised they struggled to score against Ashland.

In the beginning of the season I said someone besides Chapin in the scoring column needs to be a consistent double figures guy. Still need that to happen and Obringer is the obvious choice maybe it will happen. At 6-4 and 4-1 in the Lake their goals are still in front of them...

At 6-4 Chapin is averaging 15 and Obringer is averaging over 12 a game so you do have someone other than Chapin in double digits.

Ashland is as bad as its record. They do not sub at all, their starting 5 plays the whole game. You look at their bench I can see why. They relied heavily on two players and they still beat us. Was an ugly game.

A team will struggle to score when it becomes Turnover happy. Incorrect. Truckers were without their 6th man due to a recent surgery, and another guard was out due to a soccer obligation. Lacey I am told rolled his ankle and didn't play a lot because of that. That said Ashland won it. They shot very well from outside. They had 3 players score in the first half. Then the 4th guy (a frosh averaging I think 2 points a game) hit three straight 3s in what I think was late 3rd quarter or early 4th. It just wasn't Norwalk's night even though they battled to stay in it. The Arrow's outside shooting and Norwalk's turnovers were the difference.

Isn't your top 6 Chapin, Lacy, Obringer, Sowders, Gelhausen and Minor?

No matter who you would say the 6 is, the statement was that they were at full strength and they were not. 1 of the rotation players out for injury, one off playing soccer. And a JV/Varsity player who broke a finger Friday night as well that I didn't include.

So then they need 17 & 14 out of them and Gellhaus should be in doubles as well. Point is they can’t rely on Chapin like they did Friday when the outside shots quit falling. Some needs to attack the rim

Mozina is their defensive stopper off the bench and scores when needed - mostly off steals. Minor is the backup big who has really stepped up the last week or so on both ends of the court.

Most coaches would not appreciate that. Steve is getting soft in his later years. He plays on a US National team and has offers from D1 schools from what I’ve been told. He is a great kid who any team would be lucky to have as part of their program.

An indoor US Junior National Team?? Did he play soccer for Norwalk this fall? If he did he does not play for a US Junior National Team.
