Just curious how conversations go when discussing this second level of D1 football. Not sure that the name FCS should ever have been founded... what say ye, Northcoast?

I refer to it as FCS but in conversations with non sports fans I say 1-AA because it's easier for them to understand

I always thought the Power 5 or 6 conferences should be Division 1, The MAC size schools should be D2's. Current D2's should be D3's, Etc. With 8 team football playoff tournaments in each divisions. And, Especially, Different conference referees doing the playoff games, So there's no further conflict of interest, As we have had this past post season involving the eSECpn officials.

LOL..the Grand Poohbah of collegiate football speaks.
So you understood the question Willard, but you didn't answer it. I watched NDSU win a D1 natty again this year, but was it a 1-AA or FBS natty when you were standing around the water cooler Monday morning talking about it?

Visit NCAA website. Take note... Division I, Division II, Division III. Not... Division 1, Division 2, Division 3. "Facts are stubborn little things"
I don't ever remember standing around the water cooler discussing anything NDSU did.
How long did it take getting used to measuring distances in track, CC and swimming in meters instead of yards?

LOL!! You crack me up Willy!! Since when did you become a fan of the NCAA? www.d3football.com/landing/indexwww.d3wrestle.com/I didn't look very hard, but here are just two websites who choose not to use your Roman numerals... and if you don't recognize what NDSU has done in recent years, then you won't understand why they open with D1 Oregon next fall. Meters? LOL! And FWIW, I often refer to that level as 1-AA by choice.
