The gym should be as full as it's ever been for a regular season home girls game. Really great matchup of two good teams. They have a great cause for that night as well--a defeat Cancer night benefit theme.

They have a great cause for that night as well--a defeat Cancer night benefit theme. huron had one this weekend for the girl from vermilion that some of the sbc schools were doing. donating 25 dollars for every three, I heard the huron games boys and girls had a total of 35 or 36 three pointers. with oak harbor boys and Willard girls as opponents. pretty impressive by the 4 teams

Thursday's game serves as a benefit for Sharon Bauer-Heisler, who is battling breast cancer.
"Sharon Bauer-Heisler graduated in 1994 and played for me on three teams with a combined record of 65-8, two Northern Ohio League championships and two district championships," Pfahl said. "She has been battling breast cancer for the past three or four years. The Bauer family has been a Flashes basketball family since the 1980s. They are good people and we wanted her to know that the Flashes family cares about her."

Wow ... that was as ugly as it gets. Yes it was a wipeout start to finish. Great guards usually beat great posts in girls hoops.

how did we keep it so close the first time around? I was not expecting what happened last night at all, especially with how well we have been playing.

how did we keep it so close the first time around? I was not expecting what happened last night at all, especially with how well we have been playing. It was hard for us to manage their guard play and they just ran circles around us. It was hard to watch as you said, based on how we have been playing lately. As the tourney starts we need to find a way to slow it down to a crawl and take advantage of our inside presence or we'll be outside looking in, quick.
