Big game tonight for obvious reasons. The Tigers must still be feeling the let down from the Oak Harbor game, in which I thought they played 24 minutes of their best basketball followed by 8 minutes of their worst. I expect Bobby to have these boys motivated and ready to play. I think the Tigers play together much better than Willard, moving the ball, playing help D, etc. I also think the Tigers are more athletic and should be able to get out in transition. The key for this game is going to be the Tigers ancillary pieces and if they can knock down shots. You can expect Wennes/Ritzler/Griswald to stay consistent and have good games. The role players will need to rise to the occasion and grow a pair in this game. I would love to see the Tigers employ their patented 1-3-1 press and create some easy baskets. I don’t think Willard has great ball handlers. The big question in this one, can the Tigers finish? Bobby has had some issues closing games in which they have had the lead. I hope they have a good game plan for the 4th quarter. I look for the Tigers to win 60-52, Wennes will have 26-14, Griswald knocks down 3+ threes, and Ritzler has 10 assists. I also expect Willard fans to already be formulating excuses for why they lost. Go Tigers Not sure what your smokin ... but you definitely need to take another hit and pass the Poop around because the way you hallucinating ... that Poop must be good!!!

Willard had some trouble at the end of the 3rd and beginning of the 4th with Huron’s half court trapping, quite a few turnovers. But made their free throws down the stretch to seal the game. May have been the best 1/2 court defense played against Willard all year for a 7-8 minute stretch. I know Willard had a good size lead but scouts there tonight were taking notes. Good all around balanced scoring for the top 3. Will need more from others if they plan on getting out of districts. Willard is better at attacking the basket, the stall ball doesn’t look well on them, even with a sizeable lead.

Huron looks to be dominate in the future I never really put alot into a freshman or jv season because for example our varsity is senior dominated, where other teams may not be.. with that said..this freshman class , coach decided to keep them together and not move any up.. and for their age they're talented. good size great shooters.. will see how it plays out but there is some hope in that group.

I agree on TC We are much better attacking than in the “playing .not to lose” ball. I thought it was a good idea to keep pressure on the guy bringing up the ball with Myles. He obviously needs to avoid fouls. But I think transition basketball is where we are at our best. Hurons size on defense with that trap hurt us. Once we got Skeeter involved in the stall ball it helped because he’s so tall. But, if Shelby had done what we did in the 2nd half, which is burn clock, they may have beaten us with that big lead they had.

We are Not a good keep away team. I thought we let Huron back in the game by doing that .should of been real easy to break their half court pressure. I would of put tb on the block and once they trap the ball goes to the elbow and now it's lobs to the rim for tb.we made it hard and n ourselves.must get better.lets keep our foot on the gas.

Flashes easily better, could have boat raced Huron possibly minus the stall ball. All year we haven’t milked clock effectively but it never cost them their double digit lead.
Huron coach made his tech worth it, that official he barked at was completely removed mentally from the game afterwards.

Coach J was sick as a dog to begin with.. and flustered about how we was playing so i am surprised he didnt get Double T so he could go home...

24-14 Huron,The rest of the way, When Willard starting their stalling, Score was 40-19 with 4:55 left in the 3rd qtr. After watching on BCSN this morning, The announcers also couldn't believe Willard slowed it down as early as they did. Huh ?

^^ Huh? This was a perfect time to work on slow down ball. You are playing against a good team with something on the line. You have a solid lead and it's late in the season. Keep your foot on the gas?? Not in this instance. The Willard coaches played it perfectly, work on some things and when things got sorta close get back on the lead and then go back to work on things. Trust me when you go slow down mode with 4 to go in the 4th having not done it much in important games you'll get bit in the butt. The Willard coaches used this game as a very important learning tool. Who knows if they'll need it but at least they got to work on something if it's needed later on down the road. Trust me beating Huron by 25+ wasn't the goal here. At least that's the way I saw it.
** Edit.. My post was not really intended for portwalk but you slipped in in front of me **

A few more buckets and they were done.instead we slow it down and let them back in the game... now that is how you get bit in the butt.to say the coaches played it perfect is wrong. You bury your opponent when you have the chance then work on something you need work on.

This isn’t the BCS where the margin matters a win is win is a win ... hey man get your math right. It was 11 points and it didn't matter to me by how much we won by. If you would of said before the game we win by 11 I would of estatatic.what I was saying is we had our foot on there throat and decided to let it off and they got back in the game.ive seen it to many times teams slow it down way to early and get out of rythum and momentum swings back to the other team.At the end if we only win by one is all that matters.go flashes
