Hopewell-Loudon played without MaKayla Elmore tonight. I can confirm that all signs point to a season-ending season ACL injury to the junior. The Chieftains are 23-0 and play Lakota on Saturday night in Old Fort.

What a brutal loss for HL. I think they had the tools and pieces to beat Margaretta w/ Elmore beating up the Polar Bears inside.
Here's to a quick recovery and hopefully we see her back on the floor next December.

I think she plays more of wing anyways. I know it doesn’t mean much. But they scrimmaged each other this pre season and heard Margaretta beat em pretty good. But prayers for a speedy recovery to Mak. Hope to see you finish your senior season w an epic comeback story.

Even with that Margaretta and H-L split quarters winning. Each quarter was close.

Well I stand corrected. Thanks for the info though. Polar Bears still on a total different level in my opinion. Not taking away the 1-2 punch HL has. But Margaretta girls been together for awhile. Even though only a couple seniors. The underclass playing like they are seniors. Margaretta plays better quality teams as well. Setting them up for a great tourney run.

It's odd that Crestview selected the bracket with #1 Margaretta instead of #2 HL. Maybe because the drive time to Willard is less than to Old Fort?

Both teams fully healthy Margaretta I think wins by 20+
