Shawnee got 1200 general add and 250 student. Sold out by noon on Monday, BG was selling tickets online though, have no idea how many total tickets sold for the Upper/Shawnee game but it was a large amount. Luckily the local sports tv station(WOSN) has permission to broadcast it live now.

I wonder what size ticket allotment each school gets? Each member of team is allotted 4 tickets is my understanding at this time. Figure 20 members per team including coaches translates into maybe 160 or so allowed to go to game. Havn’t heard if all the tickets that were pre sold will be refunded or not. I heard CC had pre sold a fairly large amount. They are basically starting completely over. Previously purchased tickets are voided and refunds will be issued. Going forward, each team member (players and cheerleaders) will be able to purchase 4 tickets. Coaches each get only 2. There will also be a much smaller pass list of "essential" personnel.

I was told OG had already sold 1700 tickets. Just curious. How much of that $7 ticket sale does the school get to keep? Think about that one. The schools won’t see that pre-sale ticket revenue. Just sucks on all levels but most especially for the ones that matter the most her, the kids playing and cheering.

I agree PW. I mean is it more deadly than the common flu or cold? What's next,,advising we don't go to Church? I'm shocked that I would ever see this in my lifetime what the OHSAA just did. The flu kills 450-650,000 people each year. The mortality rate is .015% while to date the Covid 19 virus has killed 4300 (past 6 months) and the mortality rate which diminishes as further testing evolves is between 1-3%. So I guess we should never go to games again based on that math...

I understand that however once you make a decision like our governor did how do you reverse course what triggers it. How much unnecessary panic have you incited. Your destroying your economy for what? How can anyone define what the actions really will do or once over did???

Oh, and this isn't over yet....the panic inciting. The state is going to be in a state of martial law before this is all over with. I heard rumors that the local schools will be canceling for 14 days at some point.

Free will has exited stage left. I choose to get in my car and drive everyday. I’m much more likely to die getting hit by a semi than getting the flu

This may be me thinking of the extreme, but part of me wouldn't be surprised if they completely pulled the plug on the state tournament by next weekend.

No shot on live TV. OHSAA charges out the you know what for live TV coverage. Could see a tape delay somewhere. Maybe WOSN. Best live coverage will be radio.

Toledo Diocese has removed Holy Water, and advised no hand holding for Our Father, nor shaking hands for Peace. No Blood of Christ, neither.

Not worried about "kids" getting sick from players at school. Worried about 10's of thousands of people intermingling in close quarters over the next 2 weeks at the Regional and State tournaments. Restrooms being used, touching railings and door handle, rubbing elbows and sitting on the same seats as people from previous games. One cough or sneeze infects how many? THOSE students coming home and going to school and adults going to work is the worry. It wasn't just a coincidence that the announcement was made the say day that the first 3 cases in Ohio were pronounced occurring in Cleveland. At what point do we live our lives again. Look at the number of influenza deaths this year... I'm not changing the way I live my life. With that said, I would do ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING to protect the lives of young people. Also, people in high places are scared sheetless of being sued. You and I don't have to be afraid of a lawsuit, based on how we live our lives in these times.

Heck, things could be A LOT worse after just 14 days. It's laughable to think kids will be safer outside of schools, without parental control, running around going to places less safe than in the schools.

EXCEPT in the 85 degree weather of Singapore the virus has see no change in the the way it has spread, than that of lower temp. climates.

CC was happy to be playing at the Stroh while OG saw it as another game on their way to Columbus. And OG was led by two juniors tonight.
