A Utah Jazz player has tested positive for COVID-19, and as a result the NBA season has been suspended indefinitely

I suspect there probably aren't many people on here that watch the NBA but man some of these playoff games are really good. I like that there is no home court advantage and some of the camera angles are interesting. I hope Clippers v Lakers is a close series.

And some surprising series to add to that

Man, the Clippers have some poor 7th game shooters. I hope the Lakers and Nuggets is a good series. It looks like Heat v Celtics will be.

I would imagine the NBA is happy with the two most likely potential finals matchups. Looks like it's either going to be Lebron vs his old team or having a unique twist for the next chapter of the Lakers/Celtics rivalry.
Though they're probably pretty bummed that there wasn't an LA vs. LA conference final series it'd probably be better to save that for a year where it could actually take place at the Staples Center, and with fans.

One can't go wrong for nostalgia purpose whomever wins the East, but I prefer the Celtics. I would like LA to tie the Celtics in Titles at the latter's expense.

NBA ratings have tanked and i believe they will continue to do so, a DEN v MIA Finals would be gasoline on top of the dumpster fire

The NBA can't compete with the NFL. Plus I think there is too much sports right now. I have to consciously not watch some things I would ordinarily watch. When the baseball playoffs start it will get worse.

Lakers spot Heat to early 13 point lead, then went on 81-42 run to 3rd quarters end. It's a run of legends.

1950 - Won finals 1960 - Did not appear (but did in '59) 1970 - Lost Finals 1980 - Won Finals 1990 - Did not appear (straddled it with appearances in '89 and '91) 2000 - Won Finals 2010 - Won Finals 2020 - Won Finals

I wonder if Rondo is first to win a ring with Celtics and Lakers?
Nevertheless, it's a wonderful night.

Marc Gasol has signed a deal to be with the World Champions. His brother Pau, and of course, a world champ with the 2009 and 2010 World Champions, has hinted he wants to join.
