Currently scheduled to be played without fans.
Though the way things are going I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't get played at all, as crazy as that sounds.

If they don't postpone the tournament it will be hard to argue the "student-athlete" narrative

They have no choice but to cancel at this point, given that most conference tournaments have done so already. My favorite time of the year...state wrestling, state basketball, NCAA tourney, MLB opening day, The Masters...and most of it will likely get wiped out.

Hopefully these cancellations can curtail the virus. Or at least give the medical community more time to prepare. I would hate for this to drag on for many months to the point where all summer sports are canceled as well. Looks like March Madness will be June madness this year.

I notice quite a few of the cancellations are 30 days. The dire picture could look quite different, once we emerge from the traditional flu season. For some reason, flu and cold/cool weather conditions coincide and not nearly as favorable in warmer climates. One thing the scientific community agrees on, this virus strain has a shelf life and has been proven to be containable. (some areas of Europe are seeing declining numbers of new cases)

Who's to say there will be a significant improvement after 30 days? Another 30 days of cancellations would not surprise me.
The current warm weather climates have not seen any difference in cases than are being seen in current cold weather countries.
A 50 year old man was admitted to isolation from a cruise ship with the C virus. Got well after 2 weeks, but after 6 weeks is still in isolation because he is still being tested positive for the C virus.
You want to be scared sheetless? Today, on National TV, Governor Dewine sad he believes there are actually 100,000 people in Ohio with the C Virus, instead of the 9 that are being reported. AND he said that number will double every 6 days. If you believe him, that means that EVERY person in the State of Ohio will be infected in SIX weeks.

Influenza is far less prevalent in tropical zones than northern, cold weather areas. This fact was mentioned by a leading health expert, this past week. Not saying, any area of our country will be less vulnerable, but warm weather is an adversary of the virus and will be a factor in it's developmental curve. A lot is still being learned about it's lingering effects in the human body, well after the patient has recovered. They estimate thousands have fully recovered from this virus and are free to carry on their normal lives. Are there exceptions? perhaps.
If you recall the swine flu epidemic, Obama called for a national emergency, quite late in the game, after 1,000 deaths were recorded. Trump has put on full court press, in the fight to contain this pandemic, where most of the fatalities are still confined to the state of Washington and California.

Casinos still open for business lolz. I love this country. Casinos are probably the most ideal environment for the spread of pathogens. People in close proximity to one another, making physical contact with machine after machine.
