Time will tell how good of a hire this is if he stays more than a year.

Will he still be principal at Mansfield Christian? It wasn't mention in the MNJ article. Do not be surprised if Mark applies for the Ontario job after this coming season. He attended Ontario schools and played for Balogh before transferring to Clear Fork. He always gets to Ontario Tournament games when it fits his schedule. Usually seen talking to Joe, his staff and the AD.

I have talked to Mark about his transfer in high school. The only reason he speaks to the coach there now is to gloat about what he accomplished and the coach hasn't. A state title. But I'm sure he acts professional in his discussions.

Mark is a person that gloats? Shame on you.

He does not say good things about his time or the coach at his first school. Regardless he is the new coach at Cardington. Any news on the Highland position?

He does not say good things about his time or the coach at his first school. Of course not. A promise was sought that son would be on the varsity team when a Soph. That guarantee was not given. Father was not happy that son wasn't on JVs when a Freshman. Father looked elsewhere. This was not the only time this promise was sought from this coach and not given. Not the first parent that thus looked elsewhere.

A dad and his athlete son/daughter are one in the same when a decision is made to transfer. In this case the athlete was 14 years old. Don't you think the father has a considerable influence on a son in the formative years? I informed you what went into the decision and why. I've known the family for decades. I've known the head coach at Ontario for decades.

Ontario High School has an opening for Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach for the 2021-2022 season. If interested, please send your letter of interest, resume, and (3) written references to Athletic Director Jeff Fisher at fisher.jeff@olsohio.org. The application deadline is: Saturday, April 3, 2021.
Since the posting was made March 24 and the deadline was 10 days later could we assume they had someone in mind?

The assumption would be they'd like to fill the position ASAP

Madison coach mergel on the list for Ontario job. I heard last night the Head Coach from Cambridge High School applied. I'm guessing no Mark Rinehart interest? Or the other alumni who is coaching down near Columbus? If no alumni interested who understand the tradition, I'd think an experienced coach with success would be the best option, but with so many openings this year across the state that may be difficult to come by. Regardless, I'd prefer it to be someone who is in it for the long haul and not just a stop on their coaching ladder. Stability is so important but seems to be on the way out.

I heard that not every applicant received an interview call. And a large number of applicants had no high school head coaching experience. I cannot confirm this is true but what is being said.
