This could be one of the upsets of the year. Mt. Vernon 58, Wooster 55. Did Senior cancel with West Holmes Friday due to weather? Should make for a fun last few weeks here in the OCC. Any word if Lexington is going to get back to playing this week?

Good win for Mt Vernon and good to see the league title coming down to a Feb game.
Lexington schedule shows them playing tonight. They were supposed to play Thursday but Madison canceled.

Why did Mansfield Senior only have 6 players when they played Lexington this past Saturday?
Davey says Madison is playing 7 games in 9 days starting on 2/12

Mansfield has been hit with the virus and anyone in contact with the jv and freshman team has been out. They also are dealing with 3 transfers, 2 from Ontario and 1 from Columbus. The Ontario kids should be done cause 1 was ruled out for half of football and it should carry over. The other Ontario kid still lives in Ontario district. Columbus kid is the a mystery.

The OCC picture will be a little clearer after tonight. Ashland heads to Wooster for a battle of first place. If Ashland can win tonight they will be in first place, if Wooster wins they are in the drivers seat heading into the final weeks of the season.

Looks like the OCC is pretty well wrapped up after this past weekend. Wooster should take the title, with Ashland coming in right behind them.
Nice to see Madison get a big win over Mansfield last night. Been a tough year for Madison sports (except girls soccer) but I'm sure being able to get to Mansfield in basketball and football helps (along with state championship in soccer).

You mean Lex could have played Ontario today?

Abnormal season for sure
WH and Mansfield only played each other once. Madison only played Lexington once. Mansfield point guard may have ended his career in final regular season game West Holmes goes from 0-12 last year to 6-5.

Lex 0-11 is definitely "abnormal". As a matter of fact, it's a first. In the OCC, 3 wins was the fewest, done twice in the first 2 years. After that two 7-7 seasons were their worst years.

I still can't believe Lexington went 0-11 in OCC play. I know they had Covid Issues, and they didnt finish all their games but thats pretty stunning for Lexington and coach Hamilton to not win a game.
I would say overall pretty impressive for the OCC to get in as many games as they did considering Richland County schools were out of play for a few weeks.

It would appear, looking at schedules, that Lexington has been hit the hardest by Covid Issues this season. Shut down in Nov and not playing a game until Dec 18 and then being hit again in Jab for 3 weeks. Them going 0-11 is truly unbelievable when you consider 10 of those games were decided in the last period and seven of them being decided by 7 points or less. Overall Wooster and Ashland were clearly ahead but this OCC season was competitive in a majority of games. How many OCC teams have a chance to win games?

I have thought about is there a chance that the OCC doesn't win a tournament game? I think Wooster and West Holmes have the best shot. West Holmes got the 3 seed in their district, I think they have the most winnable game 1. Wooster has a chance as well, but they have just done terrible in the tournament the last few years, even as they have been very good. Ashland has a home game but Toledo Start got under seeded because they had not played a whole lot of games, no way they should have been the 8th seed. Hopefully someone can make a little run.

When was the last time Madison beat Lex and Senior in the same season?

I imagine it must be frustrating for Wooster to win 18+ games in a regular season and then go 0-1 or 1-1 in tournament play.

Why has Senior's PG played his last game? I see dude deleted his post, another of his untruths?

Why has Senior's PG played his last game? I see dude deleted his post, another of his untruths? He got a double T in the game vs West Holmes and was ejected from the game. Pretty sure he has to sit out two games. I think Dude was implying that Mansfield is not going to win two games in the tournament.

Congratulations to Mount Vernon on insuring the OCC would win a game in the tournament this year. They beat Westland 64-50. Also West Holmes beat Zanesville Maysville and will play Tri-Valley On Saturday. I think everyone in the OCC expect Lexington will play this weekend.
