Its tough to coach down there. They are more of a football school and the better basketball talent seems to migrate to Hiland or Triway.

They had a really good guard, probably 13 or 14 grad...Can't remember his name. Other than that, no standout talent recently.

Could be! Just gave the stats off the basketball teams Twitter feed. Either way good start for Ashland. Who knows how good either team really is, but would rather be on the winning side of that score. |

Norwalk might be missing the Senior leadership it had last season.
Very disappointing for the Truckers. Giving up 82 is a novelty, and losing by 31 is uncivilized.

Norwalk might be missing the Senior leadership it had last season. Very disappointing for the Truckers. Giving up 82 is a novelty, and losing by 31 is uncivilized. Senior leadership is important but I have rarely seen it be worth 31 points. |

So Lexington cancels all athletic competition until further notice because of Richland County going purple. But the kids can still practice?? Does this make any sense. If you really wanted to protect them like you say, keep them home. Makes no sense at all to cancel games but let them practice everyday. I'm sure more schools will be right behind them.

Lex cancels contests, but kids continue to practice. Shelby cancelss all athletic contests and practices. Shelby cancels Friday game with Ontario, but Ontario will play at Norwalk Saturday, varsity only.
What about CF, Senior, Madison and the privates?
Obviously their is currently no directive from the State, OHSAA or the country government. It's being left up to the school districts.

It does make sense when a team can 100% control who enters the gym for practice but would have to rely on others to meet the same standards. If you have seen any of the early season interviews on TV you would know exactly what I mean. Some coaches are interviewed wearing masks and you can see other coaches in the background wearing them too. While others teams are being interviewed and not a coach in the video is wearing a mask in practice. |

Ashland takes down Mount Vernon 84-71. At this point that might be enough to win the OCC this year.
Ashland will take on Lima Sr tomorrow (hopefully). Should be a good test for the Arrows.

(Only good thing about this year is teams streaming games). Lima's pressure on defense, and rebounding was to much for Ashland. Rebounding was a key coming into this year, and this was the first game that they just didn't outwork Lima on the offensive or defensive rebounds. Glad they got the game in! |
