Ashland did okay for a quarter but then Lima took over. Ashland down 20 most of the second half. Lima's defense held Ashland 30 points below their average. Posting for unc4life since its a loss. Ashland 53 Lima 71 Thank you! Just got to watch some of the game last night. (Only good thing about this year is teams streaming games). Lima's pressure on defense, and rebounding was to much for Ashland. Rebounding was a key coming into this year, and this was the first game that they just didn't outwork Lima on the offensive or defensive rebounds. Glad they got the game in! Their biggest key for Ashland I saw was three point shooting. In their first two games they averaged 53% from the three point line. In this game they were 25%. Plus some of those long bad misses lead directly to easy layups for Lima.

Is there any chance the OCC gets a full game schedule played this weekend?

Did the Senior, Lex and Madison school districts change their minds about playing sports after one week??

Is there any chance the OCC gets a full game schedule played this weekend? My guess is it will depend on what happens Thursday. Most of the schools are still practicing..so I would assume if we get back to the magical red color on the map they would be good to play? All I know is that Ashland's next three games are with teams in the danger zone...so we wait and see.

Richland stays in the purple...I'm guessing that means no Ashland Lexington this weekend.

I don't expect Richland county to get out of purple for months. Seeing how the Richland County Health Dept is no longer doing any contact tracing. They're now counting on those who test positive to do their own contact tracing, If people don't give a shat if they get the Virus, they sure as hell aren't going to bother with contact tracing.

Richland stays in the purple...I'm guessing that means no Ashland Lexington this weekend. From looking at some schedules, many of the Richland Co teams have decided to play without fans in the stands following the health department's request and still getting games in.

Has anyone else in the OCC played a game yet besides Ashland and Mount Vernon?

Has anyone else in the OCC played a game yet besides Ashland and Mount Vernon? West Holmes is 4-0 and Madison is 0-1.

I'm hearing some Richland county schools are changing their minds and will begin playing games this weekend even if the county stays at level 4.

I KNEW some schools in Richland county were making rash, politically decisions. There is politics involved in school boards. So what's new?

Ashland 60 Clear Fork 47
Looks like the Colts hung around, even leading at the half but had a bad third quarter getting down by double digits and never recovered.
Surprise stat, Ashland made one 3 all night.

Should be a good game.

Well Richland County is purple again. At this point is Mansfield going to get to play this year? At least Lexington and other schools they have been practicing, but Mansfield has shut everything down. The longer this goes, the longer it will take to start back up.

Lexington will play their first game Friday night. It will be without fans due to the health departments recommendation during a purple rating. Their Saturday game is postponed I'm told due to Richland staying purple.

It sounds like Madison will also return to playing games sine Richland County turned purple. They will also follow the Health Department's recommendation for no spectators during sporting events while in purple.

They will also follow the Health Department's recommendation for no spectators during sporting events while in purple. Correct, Ashland at Madison is good to go tonight. The interesting thing is this game was scheduled to be at Ashland, but on Monday they changed it. My guess is they thought Ashland was going to go Purple(it didn't) and Madison cleared to play either way. So instead of a home game at Ashland with fans, you get a road game with no fans. Either way its another game, and at this point every game you get to play is a blessing. Would like to see more OCC games get played.. Right now I think there has only been 2 OCC games played. Ashland and West Holmes are both 1-0, and Mount Vernon is 0-2.
