Whittaker, I feel your pain, as a Bucyrus fan and alumni. It is ironic that the two old NOL schools are the least completive in the the N10. Nothing against the other N 10 schools, but they are not Bellevue, Tiffin Colombian, Shelby, etc. it makes me shutter to think what the scores would be if Upper and Bucyrus were still playing those schools. Both programs had some success at times in the NOL, but both have fallen on hard times, at least in football. There is no simple solution for both schools. Having said that, the kids need to commit to the program. They need to get in the weight room, not quit when things do not go their way, and believe that the can compete. As I mentioned above, this is a problem that plagues us. It's become too easy for kids to walk away from adversity and either go find something easier or do nothing at all. Our girls basketball team has 6 potential retuners from last year that have decided not to play this year. Lots of excuses and unfortunately, they get reinforced at home. It's unlikely that they will end up playing winter sports anyway. At least not complete seasons.

Nice wins for Buckeye and Bucyrus to close out their seasons. After losing to #1 Archbold by 7 pts., Carey blows out a team that was ranked #5 ahead of them at #8. Great season for them as well.
