Have talked to several sources about this 15% of stadium capacity.. When you break it all down.. This leaves some parents on the outside looking in... Small Stadiums, are going to hurt the most.. Lets say you have 50 athletes on the football team,,, 70 band members, and 10 cheerleaders. and your stadium holds 1000 .. 15% of that 1000 is only 150... so you're allowed 150 tickets... well you have 50+10+70 and you're already at 130 and thats for just ONE ticket each kid.... we havent even talked about the visitors... it would be a wonderful year to play inner city schools......

OR leave many in the warmth of their home. Lexington is having ALL of their football, soccer and volleyball games live steamed for $9.99. Live or on demand. A good deal unless you go by yourself to games.

gunna have to split the band at games most likely... but yeah... gunna be tough.
however, hopefully it renews an interest in being able to actually go to the games when they open stadiums back up to full capacity. Kinda like a you don't know what you got til its gone kinda deal...
also, I would venture not every kid will use 4 tickets... that may help a little.

I was told the SBC decided that every player get 4 tickets game. I think Band and Cheerleaders the same. Only home Band is allowed.

Do you know of a school that has 50+70+10 that has a stadium that seats only 1000? Most gyms seat more than that.

those are not all accurate... Huron is not 4700...realistically 41-4200 … but I believe we are going to figure 15% off 4000 because you don't want to error when it comes to social distancing... but I would think you also want to do home side 15% visitors 15% so they are apart.. the numbers 2000 = 300 3000 = 450 4000 = 600 5000 = 750 depending on size of your bands,, this could get ugly in a hurry.

Lucas is going to play Shelby at home (a game of some interest this year). They're listed at 900, and I believe it. That's 135. Forget the band, that's not enough for 2 per player. Ugly indeed.

Wonder if they can bring in portable bleachers from baseball or softball fields to expand that? They also have an option of applying for a variance if they bring in some chairs that meet the spacing requirements. I'm not suggesting anything but not having a band or cheerleaders at the Shelby/Lucas game could benefit. In all these numbers do you also have to figure the coaching staffs will also get tickets. So a team with 7 coaches could see a need family seats also.

We will see how long that lasts because the order is specific that it includes the 15% must be based on "permanent seating capacity". I do know you can use grassy areas/fence area to spread people out but not to increase your numbers. I'm sure it will get worked out. A lot of moving parts in the eleventh hour.

Yes something really needs to be adjusted here whether it’s moved to 20% capacity or 25% capacity. Something that has not been brought up yet is to think about the kids who come from divorced homes and they could really use the 4 tickets for parents and step parents. Could cause some major issues with families if deciding who get a ticket and who doesn’t. A lot of issues here still sadly.

North Union is giving us 90...yes 90...total tickets for next weeks opener (as of now). That doesn't even give us two tickets per football player let alone anyone else. It is what it is and I am a million % glad we are playing, but man, what an odd year.

Thanks for clarifying.

I know you can get a somewhat decent view at Perkins, Margaretta, and a few others from your car. if you park in the right spot you could watch the game from your car. Will they allow people to do that? All the more reason I'd love BCSN to live broadcast games.

I wonder if more teams will try to find bigger stadiums to play. I noticed today Hillsdale is hosting Norwayne Friday and they just moved the game to Ashland High School who is playing on the road. Ashland Community Stadium is probably double the size of Hillsdale.

The OHSAA is pulling off a hoax.
I went to a cross country meet today at Bucyrus. It was held at the Crawford County fairgrounds. I think there were fifteen schools there. Boys and girls teams, High School and Junior High teams. The races started and finished on the home stretch of the half mile harness race track. There is a nice grandstand to sit in and watch the meet. The grandstand was more than half full and over a hundred people were standing shoulder to shoulder along the track, way less than half were wearing masks.
Why is it that football fans are more likely to spread this virus than CC fans??

My daughter is in band and only gets to play home games as is during her senior year then they’re only giving 3 tickets. Her mom and I are divorced and remarried so how do u distribute tickets??!! Total crap!! I’m about to jump the fence

Interesting, some XC coaches have complained their rules are stricter than any other sports. Some meets are allowing ONE spectator per athlete from what I’m told. Sounds like someone may have discarded the rules.
Autumn Friday nights are great because band, cheerleader, homecoming court, other sport, club member and football parents all mingle plus relatives and neighbors of those kids come out once or more. It’s almost like the season is not happening in a way. Can’t imagine how many kids have 4 or more important adults they want there on Friday. Having a 2020 senior all I can say is I see the class of 2021 having a far more disappointing senior unless things change quickly.

One thing i am seeing and i am not sure why... IF we are doing 15% ,, and we are allowing family and loved ones in, nobody else...how do we get 10-15 students sitting together? if you're suppose to sit with your family members and social distance, then there will be NO students sitting together.. period.. if that's the rule, then follow it... masks so far at football games has been good ..

For students, especially on a night like this Friday, nothing is more fun than cheering on your fellow students in the band and on the the team. ALL of them have to sit at home this year.

There needs to be an extra 10 police officers at games, policing the OHSAA rules. If not, why have rules.

How about this one. I was told that at the Ontario/Lucas JV game at Lucas. ONLY ONE ticket per Ontario player was allowed for that game.
