C'mon guys, does every simple comment have to elevate to these mindless confrontations? Or, is this a continuous test of egos? Nothing "mindless" about correcting "mindless" statements.

The richest conference in America can't figure out how to play college football, but Austin Peay and hyuck hyuck Arkansas can.
Doing nothing in the face of a challenge is not leadership, it is desertion. In my grandfather's line of work, they shot you for it.
There is another military axiom that you put off making important decisions for as long as possible, yet the B10 folded their cards before any of the other gamblers even called. When you look over in the liferaft and see that your only company is the Pac-12, it's time to row back to the boat. You 4uck3d up.

Isn't this decision about not wanting to get sued if an athlete or coach gets COVID? That's the only way I could make sense of it.

Players and coaches can opt out and not lose a year of a scholarship or a year of pay

B10 could not have botched this more. There are HS teams playing. Cincy is playing. I mean, wtf kind of world do we live in where PITT and CINCY are playing and Penn State and OSU aren't? Are you freaking kidding me? Austin Peay can do it but the B10 can't? Something very shady here.

The conferences and schools not playing are following the POLITICAL science.

* Teams will be standing across from one another, 54 yards apart. * Players will all be wearing face shields. * Game officials will be wearing N-95 masks and possibly, shields. * Sanitizers will be as prevalent as water coolers, on both sidelines. * There will be no intermixing with fans. * Fans will be severely limited in number and socially distanced, with mandatory masks. * Stadium entries & exits, as well as restroom fcilities, will be clearly marked * Concessions will, most probably be closed.
Given all the safety measures that will be deployed, let's cut all the supposed paranoia bullshit and let the teams play the game of football!!!! Not in the frickin' spring, but this October!!!!

The military academies are playing. The best and the brightest. No one concerned about wiping out the warriors and leaders of the next generation OR having the federal government sued. I can't believe the far left isn't making a stink about them playing

This is getting more interesting by the minute. Now, the Ohio Attorney General is recommending the Ohio State University sue the Big Ten for lost revenue, due to the cancelled season. It's no secret, OSU and Nebraska have been in close contact all through this ordeal. If OSU takes the initiative, expect other universities to jump on board. This conference is doing everything it can to ensure it comes apart at the seams.

The first shoe drops, Wyatt Davis opts out and will enter the draft. Sounds like his reason was that Ohio State will likely not have a chance to play for a National Title. The only reason he came back.

The only reason he came back. This is neither the year nor the season to resign oneself to impatience. Wyatt's decision leaves me scratching my head. C'mon, the kid couldn't wait a week or two, to see how this thing is going to play out? Premature, anyway you look at it.

We will know which way this decision making process is heading after today's Big Ten Medical panel meets. We could have a vote this week. Things are much more favorable than a month ago, when the season was axed. That being said, Wyatt's declaration can easily be retrieved at this point in time. Let's all keep our fingers crossed.

DOA boss. OSU has to do what Rutgers and Michigan tell them to. Time to join the B12.

IF the Big Ten presidents swallow their pride and admit they were wrong, will Ohio State play enough games to qualify for the playoffs? Davis and his parents don't think so.

My view on Wyatt was incorrect, he's gone. Didn't realize he had already signed with an agent. Disappointed that he jumped the gun and bailed out, knowing things are developing and should have answers this week. Let's hope the University Presidents won't be so quick to flush the conference down the toilet. (again) I'm sure there has been lots of feedback thrown their way these past weeks.

No only "feedback", but influence from potential agents. Austin and Birm say there are 7 or 8 more that will opt out if The Big Ten can't start play by mid October. And are of the opinion that if thats the case Ohio State should refuse to play any games until next year, with such a depleted roster. A forfeit to U of M is better than a loss on the field.

It’s really starting to look like the Big Ten is actually going to play. All signs point to it right now.
Also, Wyatt Davis said today during an interview that he would reconsider his decision to opt out if something happens this weekend. And since he hasn’t accepted any money yet he would be able to return.

From what I can glean, going into the meeting at 3:00. There are not enough votes in favor(9) to go forward with an October start, without a financial deal to buy a couple votes. In exchange for yes votes, schools could opt out and still share in revenue from schools that do play. It's not known if enough pressure can be applied by schools that want to play without such a deal.

Lets hope, the votes fall in the "yes" column. It was really hard watching Clemson beat up on Wake Forrest Last night and also having to Watch FSU blunder a loss to GT. I need my buckeyes.

What a joke this conference is. Friday night high school games were played all across the country. On Saturday there were college games all over the country. Today there were nfl games played all over the country. But the Big Ten needs to think some more about it. Are you kidding me

So, it sounds like they tabled the vote to Monday or sometime this week, to allow time to coddle to the malcontents. I would love to know the specifics on just who exactly, is opposed to playing football. I want to know their personal history and background of these descenting, bastardly presidents. I have little doubt, they are completely attuned to liberal ideology. The fact that everything is being handled in a very quiet, secretive, none of your business fashion, makes one realize something is very seriously wrong with this situation and the administrative snobs, imposing their will.

The absurdity of postponing just doesn’t make sense, unless pockets are being filled with cash. Realistically there is no sane reason. If you don’t want to play or coach that your right. If you do, sign the waiver giving no reaponbility to anyone but yourself if you get the virus. This is all a F-in jok now.

Wade has now opted out too. All this waiting on the Big Ten has now cost the Buckeyes two starters and potential All Americans.
