A simple man reading the tea leaves now has concern with Wade declaring this AM after all the supposed progress this weekend. Perhaps they’ll kick on 10/17, and Wade is simply tired of the nonsense. I can’t blame him. Seems the decision makers prefer leaking to the press rather than being transparent with the coaches and players.

Again, another perplexing and confusing logic, at this on the brink moment of resolve. Are you a team player or not, do you want to help your team win the Big Ten and vie for a National Championship?.....guess not. The 'me' generation, at it's finest.

Wades departure leaves an already-suspect secondary even more cause for concern if the season goes on. While OSU lives by the next man up motto and is known as Cornerback U, Chase Young's presence last year helped the D-backs immensely so it's going to be up to the D-line to step up and really put pressure on QBs to equalize and/or negate some of the inexperience in the secondary IMO.

Anyone blaming anyone for opting out thinking it’s a “me” decision is wrong. The blame is on the conference

Obviously Wade does not believe Ohio State has a chance to make the playoffs if they start play in mid October, or he would not opt out. Like Davis, a shot at winning that title was the only reason they came back for another year.
They both could be making millions now, if they left after last season. I don't blame them one bit for saying F'it.

By not making the playoffs, I meant....The committee not even taking Ohio State into consideration, due to them playing 20%-40% fewer games than the Sec, ACC and Big 12 teams play. There are another Half dozen players you could be kissing off with a "See Ya!!!" I'm in the camp, that if Ohio State won't be considered for for the playoffs, I'd prefer to see younger players playing getting experience for next season's playoff. iMO they could still win a Big Ten title without those players

the reasons behind this are not confusing at all, it is just another attempt to push a liberal agenda before the election, I mean we're talking about Chicago and San Fran (B10 and P12)
start date will probably be Nov 4th for these clown-shows smdh

If it's "all play or no one plays" like some are now saying, that throws a monkey wrench into the situation IMO

I was feeling optimistic going into the weekend but now I’m not so sure. The way this is dragging out is worrying me.

I couldn't disagree more strongly. No fall football, no winter football, no spring football?? Think about it, that puts Ohio State more than a year behind their competition for a National Title. Think about the transfers this could cause. It could take Ohio State 10 years to catch up. Why would Ryan Day want to stay and deal with all the problems not playing for a year would cause? Similar to the NCAA death penalty.

Similar to the NCAA death penalty. I don't disagree with all your points, but a fabricated spring schedule of 8 games, puts the program in direct conflict with fall football preparations. On the other side of the coin, high school football states that have risen to prominence and develop and produce the most college ready, elite athletes, the past decade or so, have spring football. With that in mind, going through the motions of spring football would be written off as a part of the developmental process, in these most unusual times, we are forced to endure. I fully understand, not to do so, would put a team at a clear disadvantage and as you mentioned, depleted roster, come fall. And, I suppose it would further diminish the remarkable recruiting efforts, put forth by this coaching staff. Just mark up my previous comments as the product of frustrations.

October 24, 8 games. No wiggle room though for any bye weeks. Definitely cutting it close but I’ll take it.

Although I was hoping for a more aggressive re-instatement, that would get things going on the 10th or 17th, I'm just happy this manufactured nightmare is finally coming to it's rightful conclusion!
With this first step, finally resolved, hope Coach Day and his staff can convince Wade and Wyatt to rejoin their team mates.
The final question will be, what course the PAC 12 decides to take. Are they going to take the B1G lead and the rest of the Power Five football world.

Will we get a whole new set of schedules now? Yes, I read that schedules will be out by the end of the week. 6 games within the division and then 2 crossover games.

Wyatt made his celebrated announcement today. Shaun said he is reconsidering and will most probably going to announce his decision tomorrow.
This good news will likely get the Big Ten recruiting back on track.
Waiting on the elimination of the 12 hour per week practice limit.

Wyatt Davis is returning to the team. It is not yet certain they wil be allowed to play by the NCAA. Even though they did not sign with an agent yet. It has to be determined if the took any thing of value from anyone.

The original schedule the big ten made back in August had extra weeks built in in case they had to postpone a game due to an outbreak. This schedule won’t have that to fall back on.

Yes,that could be a problem. For Ohio state to get 8 regular season games in could depend on who and when they p!ay teams. I'm more worried about other teams staying clean than Ohio State...they'll on a mission.

Should be no surprise, the chicken Poop conference is playing all games fanless. Previously, it was 20% capacity. Wonder if TBDBITL will be allowed to perform, as well as opposing bands. Get ready for the piped in crowd noise. Making the best out of a difficult and unusual situation.

That's the way it sounds. Funny, high schools and the all other conferences have socially spaced crowds. Gonna ramp up the electronically produced crowd noise, to eliminate the scrimmage atmosphere. I can hear the O-H.......I-O ringing around the empty Ohio Stadium and parking won't be a problem.
